  1. Shocking if the names are corrects that at least one former SPFL team (possibly two) are on the Arsehole list. I get Dalbeattie Star abstaining as they’re pretty much relegated and felt it wasn’t their place to decide. There’s 10 clubs that should be ashamed of themselves here. I expected the former SPFL teams and Ex Juniors to kick this into the sea at every vote yet one of the 5 is Caledonian Braves! A team who are routinely put down by fans for not being a ‘real club’. SLFL could be a great league in a few seasons if they opened up relegation and kicked the B teams out. A shambles league being run for self preservation while taking the crumbs that Celtic, Hearts and Rangers throw them. Fans of the 10 have the power to show their feelings here.
  2. Dundee might not be your “derby” but it’s a pretty decent substitute with no other Angus teams in the division. Without the Pars, Falkirk or East Fife we’ve severely lacked any kind of derby to look forward to this season. Partick for some reason has never been one of my favourite away days and I don’t understand why, it’s Glasgow, their fans are a decent bunch and it’s easy to get to. I think it must be their terrifying mascot.
  3. It’s a tough balance ‘decent away day next season’ v ‘seeing Dick Campbell have a melt down’. I actually think Arbroath will be fine even if we beat them. They’ve got better goal difference and I just don’t think Accies will win more than 3 points. As for Cove they’ve already chucked it.
  4. Season’s over time to get the bubble wrap out and put Vaughan back in his protective case until next year. Doubt we’ve got enough players to rest any unless some of our walking wounded are back. Hopefully Vaughan gets to the end of the season without any major problems. Guy needs a bit of good luck after the shite injuries he’s had to endure through his career.
  5. I vote for this, Arbroath is a better away day than Accies.
  6. Have to disagree with you on it being in anyway comparable to the Old Firm attitude. The Old Firm “expect” to be given more than 50% of the tickets as they have more fans than other clubs. This is completely wrong as every final should offer both clubs a 50/50 split. However if a club cannot sell its allocation then the tickets should be offered to the other team as both clubs have been given the chance to sell their tickets to their own support. Obviously if one club or even both clubs are not certain to sell their entire allocation they should then sell them in sections allowing for an adjustment in segregation. If we were playing Rangers at Hampden I’d have absolutely no problems handing unsold sections back for them to sell rather than lock supporters out with empty seats. As long as we were offered our fair share to begin with and failed to sell them by an agreed date.
  7. We still can’t win , any chance you could let the C team in?
  8. Well done to Falkirk, that’s some achievement to make the final 4 while stuck in League 1. Been a pretty brutal few years for the Bairns fans.
  9. Pretty poor sales for Accies so far, I know it’s only the Diddy Cup but you’d still expect more than your usual home gate to go for a chance to see your local team lift a wee trophy and a day out. How many season ticket holders have Accies got? Seems like zero interest from anyone in Hamilton outside their main fan base. Difficult to organise more tickets for Raith fans if they’ve not been sold in sections but it’s the SPFL who’ll be losing the cash.
  10. Just wanted to add today well done to our “young team” there’s a million and one things to criticise them for and we often do but today they were worthy of a mention. I was right in front of them and they sang from well before the whistle until after full time.
  11. Think its 9th v 4th and 2nd v 3rd can’t count.
  12. We’ll gift you our usual 3 points so that’s 1/9 you don’t need to worry about. I’d have said Accies looked certain for safety after their two wins against Inverness but they then failed to beat a 10 man Arbroath which puts them right back in the mix. Can’t see ourselves or Inverness being dragged into it as we’re far enough ahead and Raith also play all the bottom 3 at home. Cove seem to be in reverse gear and have to play both Accies and Arbroath away so they’ve probably got the hardest run in.
  13. You have to wonder if Cove stuck with Jim McIntyre whether they’d be better or worse off. Hartley has hardly done any better.
  14. Accies have had a good turn around but it’s pretty much a 3 horse race at the bottom now. I’d say 40 points will absolutely guarantee safety. There would have to be a monumental collapse by ourselves or Inverness to fail to reach that with 11 games to play. If Accies keep up their good form it’s Cove and Arbroath that’ll be very worried. We’re as close to Queens Park as Accies are to us and I don’t think we’re catching them. edited as I can’t count.
  15. What a difference a few days can make, HT at Arbroath 1-0 down with the teams below us looking good and we’re looking over our shoulders at the bottom spots. Fast forward a few days we’re unbeaten in 13, pretty safe from the bottom spots, in a Cup final and in the Quarter Final of the Scottish with a payday fixture. We might be 6-7th due to games in hand but the team has shown some fight over our traditional winter lull. Is 4th spot beyond us this season? Possibly but I’m not betting against us just yet. There’s still plenty football between now and the end of the season and in this league everyone is capable of beating each other.
  16. Surely going to be the Sunday match which is a shame as I’d prefer a Saturday in Glasgow. Slightly more pleasant memories of my last trip to Ibrox as it was the 2-1 win when Nade scored the winner. Recall the crowd was woeful with the Dave King organised boycott and some of our fans refusing to go after the Fifes Finest flag was destroyed by their “Ultras” (wee fuds in fake Stone Island). Was on the Clockwise Orange after the game jacket zipped up surrounded by their always friendly and gracious supporters. Had to wait till Queen Street to crack a smile.
  17. You take that back! We want half a chance of getting through.
  18. Celtic away isn’t too bad at least it’s a good payday for the club. Nightmare is ICT shit payday and we always lose to them.
  19. Great finish but Dundee fans will be asking who was marking him as it’s a free header in the box.
  20. I actually enjoy it as a competition (B teams aside). With the exception of the final if you lose you shrug your shoulders and say “it’s only the Diddy Cup”. If you make the final it’s a day out and the chance to win a bit of silverware most clubs at our level rarely manage in the other cups. You’ve also got the possibility of a wee away day to Ireland, Wales or England. Get the B Teams to f**k and it’s not a bad distraction.
  21. Well Diddy Cup or not you can’t argue with £10 for an entertaining game of football. We should have been dead and buried at halftime but fair play to Murray that was some turnaround.
  22. There’s plenty jobs away from the spotlight and from social media you’ve got thousands who are happy to defend DGW, I’m sure one of them will be delighted to offer him employment. What’s his alternative? Go from club to club, play 1 match and get released after another media shit storm until he’s too old. Get a normal job, get your name out the papers and move on.
