  1. And probably leave early as disapointment takes over (again).
  2. Thank you for clearing that up, I'd no idea who Mick Kennedy was until I read that. Definitely a no from me.
  3. "Parasites" "low life", "disrespectful" you're not doing a good job of steering clear of abusive language there.
  4. You want Billy to sack himself, that'll be an interesting conversation. He wasn't at the Kelty away game, don't know if he's been seen since though. If he's in Oz he's possibly just visiting his relatives and friends who live there. Just dawned, it's the Manager you want sacked.
  5. I think we're more into booing and then walking away muttering expletive riddled condemnation of players and management under our breath. OR simply choosing not to come back.
  6. It was definitely a high in performance and attitude against the current leaders after a run of defeats. I'm sure pre-Falkirk match quite a few Queens fans were predicting us getting a pummeling.
  7. On the face of it a 1 - 0 loss away to Alloa, the goal coming mainly courtesy of a very experienced player dithering on the ball and losing it, doesn't sound too bad, we are quite used to losing up there tbf, the issue is the difference in tactics, attitude and workrate from the previous week. Against Falkirk it was a real team effort, players getting tackles in early, plenty of running, looking to get involved and help each other out, yesterday it was like the three sections of the team, defence, midfield and attack, didn't have much of a clue what the other lot was thinking or doing. It looked at times like they didn't know what the game plan was and if so that lies squarely at the Manager's door. True, he can't legislate for player's errors but to go from the high of last week to the dross of yesterday, something is not right.
  8. Yesterday there seemed to be a reluctance for players to take a chance and act on their own initiative. One instance (of many) that had me beelin, was when Fergusson got the ball at the edge of the centre circle in Alloa's half with acres of space in front of him, but instead of driving forward he played the ball wide and the momentum was lost. Young players are maybe too scared to try things in case they make mistakes.
  9. Efe always looks a standout when he gets room to stroll about, and he reads the game well. It's when he's pressured like yesterday when he lost possession leading to the goal he looks a liability, and that happens at least once in every game. I would still be ok with him staying after January though.
  10. Interesting that you think Hewitson knows he isn't universally loved in the local business community, I take it you must have had feedback from a lot of local business people to base this statement on. As for "the wider community", unless they're Queens fans I doubt they care about him either way.
  11. Certainly back down to earth after last weeks performance, two poor teams tbf. About 30 mins before either team had a serious effort, off target of course. Queens had the best chance so far, good work by Reilly set up Mc Kechnie whose low shot was touched round the post by the keeper. Certainly need to up the pace a bit second half, far too pedestrian at times. Unless there's been more injuries I'm not sure why Marvin has tinkered with last week's line-up, players' attitude seems miles different too.
  12. What's Danny Lennnon up to these days, sure he knows the club well.
  13. It'll be paper cups and plates and plastic cutlery. A few seem to prefer a McDonald's anyway so maybe not used to using cutlery.
  14. So the Manager who gave him a 2 year deal doesn't rate him, seems strange to me but you'll know better.
  15. Aye, I don't think he was dropped because of performance, I don't think he dropped any clangers really, maybe Marv just wanted his planned No 1 Botterill back in rather than a loanee. Botterill only lost his place because of suspension tbf.
  16. Roy started off well with us tbf, it didn't last. He did drop out with an injury and struggled to get his place back, he probably got pissed off watching Innes bloody Cameron prance about doing F-all.
  17. Not unlike a lot of grounds at this level then so nothing out the ordinary.
  18. Just thinking about comments from Falkirk fans on here, and not wanting to attract undue criticism or open a can of worms, but there seems to be a lack of complaints about off field issues like ticketing, catering, dirty seats, etc., it would be nice to think the Club handled things well, which won't sit well with some Queens posters on here.
  19. Aye, thought the lino was a bit behind play to get a definite view.
  20. We played well against Motherwell in the LC, but yesterday was our best league performance by a distance, which makes our home performances against Alloa, Montrose, Stirling and Cove all the more frustrating, plus Kelty away. Agree that Morrison was probably a big miss for you, quite glad he was unavailable.
  21. It's been baffling for a few seasons now imo, we seem to pick up more injuries at training than in competitive matches. Not sure if stats actually back this up mind.
  22. Must say I'm surprised and happy about that performance today, but fizzing that we haven't put in anywhere near the same effort and fight against other teams. No real failures today, Botterill and Ambrose had a couple of shaky moments, McClelland did what McClelland does and gave away a needless foul leading to the Falkirk goal which came courtesy of a free header, but overall a more than decent team showing. Shows what can be done if you're prepared to battle for the ball, something that has been sadly lacking in most games. I thought MacIntyre was Queens' MoM, he certainly dispelled any ideas I had that he wasn't up to this level, likewise Ferguson who battled away in midfield. Marvin and the players have taken some (deserved) stick so praise where it's due. About the only thing that bugged me, and Falkirk fans probably, was Botterill's time wasting, I can't understand why he would do that when you're team's drawing at home and in with a fair chance of winning the game, and we do need to start picking up wins, it's not like we were backs to the wall defending. Both teams actually deserve credit for putting on a good open game. Well done also to Falkirk fans for helping to create a great atmosphere, and for the £NB, I hope we're up nearer you in the table the next time we meet.
  23. Talking about games that were played half a century ago on a specific match thread is hardly relevant. No problem discussing it on the Queens thread or make a Down Memory Lane thread. You're usually the first to get upset about threads going off topic anyway.
  24. About 30 mins to ko and more away fans than home fans in already. Think even more have just had enough.
