  1. Do you think they actually speak to each other, never seems to be much inter-action before or during games. Shouldn't matter if it's a derby or not, we should expect plenty of effort in every game. It probably means more to fans than players anyway.
  2. Annan fans appear to be even less excited by this one going by their lack of comments on here. As for Queens fans, lethargy is understandable considering the position we're in and recent results. Like a few others I'm going to this one more in hope than expectation. Being a vital "derby" probably won't mean much to most QoS players coming from outwith the Dumfriesshire area anyway.
  3. It's over man, let it lie. Onto our next important challenge.
  4. Why would the Ref mention a substitution in his report if he and his assistant didn't see any problem with it at the time. Do you know if the Queens manager or coaching staff raised concerns about the substitution at the time.
  5. I have no idea or interest in Dick Campbell's allegiances, or that of the people of Locharbriggs but I do know more than a few people who would disagree with you.
  6. ^^ What a stupid post, assuming another poster only bases opinions on peoples looks. ^^ Fat and bald he may be, but unlike you, when he looks in the mirror he won't see an arse looking back at him.
  7. Was looking on the Ticketing site for this game, are there no tickets available to visiting fans for the Stand? Don't think I fancy standing on the terrace behind the goal because A) weather might be bad, B) my tired old legs might not last the game and C) it's a shit view if it's busy.
  8. Some people getting a bit heat up over a game in a competition that no-one apparently gives a toss about. Fwiw, I didn't see McKenna going off on the East Stand side, might be wrong tho, the only Arbroath sub I saw gong off on that side was the (diving) wee winger, who didn't even acknowledge his own fans as he walked round the park, that I noticed. As for the match officials spotting anything wrong happening, they probably were just as confused as the rest of us, the Ref looked confused most of the game tbf. Also don't think the throw-in just prior to the goal was quickly taken either, iirc one player went to take it but left it for another to take a long throw. (and his foot was over the line when he delivered the throw too, Lino wasnt looking) We're oot o' the diddy cup, had chances to score more goals but didn't, both teams played ok but it wasn't a classic, Doherty's and McKenna goals were very well taken, we move on to more important things now. And I bet the vast majority of posters on here have never played or officiated in football at a decent level (or any level) which seems to be @bod's criteria of who should be allowed to express an opinion, which comes across as a bit arrogant. P&B would be a desolate place if only experienced footballers were allowed to participate. I'm off to the Annan V Queens thread now which is more important.
  9. Mazzy loving all these bites. Just ignore the tube.
  10. The very occasional gem amongst a mountain of dross tbf.
  11. They were wrong I would say, he doesn't look like he's got a best position. On the bench possibly.
  12. Someone suggested trying McKay in midfield at the last home game, looks like Marv may have been listening. Might give a bit of physicality in there and keeps him away from the defence.
  13. You could play Rab Douglas in goals with one arm tied down, Dick Campbell at centre half and his brother as striker and I still wouldn't be confident of getting a win. Marvin struggling for a team again, injuries and players cup-tied. It would be just like it for us to sneak this game when it's league wins we need.
  14. You'd think there might be a few but Rankin at Hamilton, Tucker Sloan at Auchinleck spring to mind. I'm sure Barry Wilson manages a shop in Dingwall if that counts.
  15. Unless Arbroath are doing something, which might not be possible, I would say there's absolutely no chance of a live steam. Queens haven't done any live streams since crowd restrictions were lifted after Covid.
  16. I'm hoping we can stay full time but understand the argument for change. IF we do go part - time it might not be a sudden jump but maybe a hybrid model to see if it's successful, the contracted players would then be able to see out their deals with maybe another few FT added. It looks a long way off happening at present but if we do get back to the Championship I would prefer it as being as full timers.
  17. Ach well, a wee break from losing league games to probably losing in the Diddy Cup instead. A chance for Marvin to experiment with personnel and tactics (ok, no change there either I suppose) in the vain hope of progressing in this money spinner of a Competition. Queens players can maybe go into this game with a bit of confidence knowing they've been working hard in training on properly defending opposition throw-ins, whereas actually practicing stopping crosses coming in or how to put in decent tackles or how to pass to teammates obviously doesn't seem to be a priority. Arbroath will be a stiff test, hard working and high tempo, I doubt they'll stand off and allow our flair players (I'm sure we must have one anyway) the time and room to strut their stuff. I actually like the Diddy Cup, minus Colts, so am hoping that Arbroath aren't taking it too seriously to give us a chance of sneaking through.
  18. Straight on to "We buy any Car. com" and get rid.
  19. Don't you know? Greenacres is the Accountant for every Club in the SPFL.
  20. We very rarely concede unstoppable worldy goals, most are simply down to defenders/midfielders just not doing the basics or not being switched on to what's going on around them. At the goal we should have done better defending out wide before the ball was played in then the scorer had acres of space and time to get his shot away. It's so predictable now. Edit to add: Taking nothing away from the Stirling players btw, they showed up our frailties.
  21. Don't really think there's much argument that you deserved the win. Glad you enjoyed the day.
  22. Not sure if this is a new way of indicating where home and away fans will be located, I thought they usually just said what Stand and Sections of the Stand they would be situated in. I can lend the person responsible for writing he infio my old orienteering compass if they want so they know which direction is which
  23. Agree with the first part, not so sure about the end part. It would be nice to see a competent, decisive display with a few goals so us supporters can relax a bit, but I doubt we are capable of overrunning any team at the moment. As long as we score one more goal than the opposition I'll be happy.
