  1. Good post to start with but it got a bit repetitive later on, as if I'd already read it.
  2. Injured players relapsing after being "rushed back too quick" sounds like poor decision making by the physio and/or sports science boffin. Players probably have a say in how they feel fitness wise but the final say must come from the backroom staff. I appreciate Brydon's an important player which is all the more reason for making sure he's 100% before getting him back in the team again.
  3. It's probably you and your bizzare obsession with not updating signs that finally tipped him over the edge.
  4. I have no problem with being corrected if I'm wrong about something, or someone expressing a differing opinion, as long as it's not done in a condescending, sarcastic or "I know better than you", manner which imo SD's responses often are. And no one is indispensable no matter what they think (as I've found to my cost several times.)
  5. Was actually going to post something similar, he doesn't appear to like to be criticised. Don't think he's even scanning other threads looking for people to correct. If he has indeed taken the huff, and I don't know if he has, it's a bit childish. Maybe his Masters at the Club have put a block on him of course. Hopefully it's a self imposed exile and not something serious.
  6. Considering the rain that fell during the night and through Saturday morning, I was surprised to see the sprinklers (briefly) used. I'm not sure what studs, etc are allowed on that surface but some players look like they need different boots on.
  7. Even from the Oakbank Terrace Walker's dive looked so obvious. As for the penalty we did get, I still don't know what it was for, there were no obvious claims by Queens players. Reilly should be off pens now too. Must say the new pitch looks good but there seems to be a lot of players losing their footing, and at crucial times, hopefully not something that's going to be an ongoing problem.
  8. Deserves credit, my lawn got burnt during that hot spell and doesn't look as good as that. Also nice to see the majority of gulls have also moved on to other lodgings.
  9. You're lucky you got a chance to enter the draw, no one selling half time draw tickets outside (or inside) the Oakbank Terrace turnstiles when I went in at 2:20. Not an isolated occurrence either. I don't think they've even give the winning half time draw number on the OS now. Glad you had a good day, apart from the score obvs.
  10. Your lucky you could make out what he said, my ears were still hurting from that heavy metal track he played just before kick-off. The volume does tend to fluctuate when he reads things out, scorers and substitutions are often muffled.
  11. You can only dream of ever having a sign at Galabank for an achievement like that.
  12. Not only Greenacres giving Connelly as scorer, BBC reports and results also gave it to Connelly.
  13. Is the next home game up on the sign yet? Poor service if its not been changed.
  14. Hard to say, they were all queuing at the pie stall apparently.
  15. Wullie who? Hope the Annan fans enjoyed their wee spell of glory being ahead of the big team but the cream will rise to the top eventually. Get doon.
  16. Don't think anyone's mentioned inflated ideas of our standing in Scottish Football, our standing in the Region is however not in question.
  17. So Bartley's lying then and Wilson didn't make it clear to him he didn't want to play another season in League 1?
  18. I don't think anyone has criticised his performances when he managed to play, apart from a game at ch when he was poor. His style of play has the potential to lead to injuries, he maybe suffered more than others and he seemed to be taking longer to recover, it's just strange that when a club want him on loan that he appears closer to fitness than expected. According to Bartley, Wilson made it clear in pre-season that he didn't want another season in League 1, not exactly the attitude you want from a player you ar going to rely heavily on. Good luck to him anyway, a pity that this spell here turned out to be so disappointing for both parties.
  19. Yes, I guessed that was the intended name, my response wasn't really seriously questioning if we had a player called Brandon.
  20. You can be all lovey-dovey with Annan if you want, I want them pumped as hard and as often as possible. Not sure what ref to Old Firm is about in your post, unless you have a soft spot for one of them. I'm a bit baffled as to why a QoS supporter would want any other Club in the division to have a successful season, the more that struggle the better it is for us.
  21. If the current squad aren't good enough to beat this shower then it's a signal that we really are in for a long slog of a season. Anything less than a two goal winning margin will be quite frankly embarrassing. The natural order must prevail.
  22. Was it worth updating the sign for the Annan game. Spending money getting a sign made when it will only be used twice in the league after they slide back down to basement division at the end of the season
  23. Well the BBC have an office in the Arena so should be an easy item to cover. Would much have preferred if they'd cut into coverage of today's Women's World Cup Semi-final though.
  24. Aye, I drove past Palmerston last night and it's still the same. Just take the whole sign down, better no sign than one that's not updated. At least the broken clock above the Oakbank Terrace is right twice a day.
