  1. If our poor form continues and home crowds diminish the away support will get as many seats as they want in the East Stand. I think the Terregles St. terrace (or part of it anyway ) is ok to use, just never had sufficient visiting numbers to make it worthwhile opening it I would imagine. Obviously would mean temp toilets and catering facility to be provided. Unless your bringing down more than 900 or so then the East Stand should be sufficient.
  2. Have you looked at the league and form tables, we've got plenty to be pessimistic about. It's quite galling that we often do give more fancied teams a challenge which makes it all the more maddening that we can't do better against teams around us. As 19QOS19 says, would much rather it was an away fixture, our home form is embarrassing.
  3. Home or away, doesn't matter to Marv, we play the same cautious style. I'll be pleasantly surprised, nay gobsmacked, if we get a point from this. If its close, get money on us losing a goal in the last 10 minutes. Hoping for plenty of navy blue pounds to go towards Marv's pay-off compo if things don't improve quickly.
  4. ^^^ Aye, pretty much sums up my feelings about the game. It's usually the away team that adopts a cautious approach with the home team trying to dominate, proceedings but Bartley seems to go into every game with the same negative, over cautious attitude. That approach you can understand if it's one of the top teams you're facing but against a team below us we should be setting out to pressure them from the get go. Are the players nervous about making mistakes in front of home fans? Can't be the pitch to blame any more for misplaced passes and poor control. Something needs to change, whether it's attitude, tactics or personell or more fans will desert the team.
  5. You weren't robbed last week, failing to take any of the several gilt edged chances you created is entirely down to the Annan players' (or Goss in particular) having a bad day so direct your seethe to them. You don't have to tell Queens fans we are shite just now but being shite and winning 1 - 0 feels better than being shite, missing loads of chances and losing. 6 from 12 already.
  6. It should be a mere formality at Palmerston I think cos we are garbage.
  7. We picked up a few good results when Gibson took over, it doesn't always last or end well.
  8. And where can we find this magic money tree? Splashing cash that we just don't have would probably be a quicker route to non-league football than poor results.
  9. Coming round to this opinion myself. Bad enough that the players can't do the basics like find a teammate with a pass but it looks like a lot of them don't know or aren't comfortable with what their role is. The amount of room allowed to the opponents wide men in almost every game is a joke. The number of times there is two or even three Queens players round an opponent who still manages to win the ball is also a joke, but not in an amusing way. Too soft, too predictable and too slow in build up. Panic substitutions when we go behind. I hoped Marv was the man but results and performances can't go on like this.
  10. Todd and Cochrane are a poor Midfield pairing. Also as the home team we should be trying to dominate and press but it's all too pedestrian. 45 minutes of my life I won't get back.
  11. Tinpot being allowed trialists with a third of the season gone. (surprised we haven't tried it). What is the rule anyway?
  12. Think that's been removed for a while so might be spare. Some might say the last thing we need (apart from anything Michael Jackson connected) is any more statues at Palmerston, we've got a few on the pitch.
  13. ...... and Harvey and Gibson aren't guaranteed starters either. Reilly and Doherty up front could be a good pairing if they stay fit imo.
  14. 3pm kick-off according to QoS website. The media often don't bother about getting details right the further down the chain you go.
  15. On the flip side his dad maybe wouldn't want Lewis to look foolish so might be more of a reason to play him. Doubt very much if players actually think about the feelings of their opponents during games, they are supposed to be professionals after all. It's fairly common for family members (brothers, cousins etc) to play against each other.
  16. One thing's for sure, we can't afford to give them as many chances as Annan squandered yesterday. Not sure of the Brydon injury situation, need him playing so hopefully he's not out long, also need a fit Lewis Gibson. Home form needs to improve and fast, can't afford Cove leapfrogging us. Hopefully the players got a bit of a boost following yesterday's win. Still a lot of things players need to do better, and Management need to work on, but we've stopped the rot, and hopefully not just a temporary respite. Not good for the old ticker but I'll be happy with another clean sheet and maybe nick a goal.
  17. It wasn't pretty but it's goals that count. Even from the piss poor viewing point at the away end it looked a definite free kick leading to the winning goal. No one needs to point out we're a poor side, we're perfectly aware of that so it's no surprise that we will happily take any win by any means. Roll on the next meeting with Annan by which time there's hopefully more space between us in the table.
  18. Not that it makes much difference to your point but I don't think Cochrane actually got treatment, the physio had a look at him then went to treat the other player, if its the same incident I'm thinking of. Also used to happen that the opposition physio would come on to help if two players from the same team required treatment, maybe that's changed too.
  19. Fair play to Annan, raised their game, put in a plucky performance but in the end it's goals that count. I'll settle for playing terrible and picking up points, 6 from Annan already.
  20. More injury woes, Brydon stretchered off, we get a couple back just to lose another.
