  1. Come on down folks and spend, spend, spend. Unfortunately don't think you'll get such fancy fayre at the food stalls as you seem to get at other grounds.
  2. Of course the manager could gave played him more before the season was called early if he wanted to, to enable him to reach his target, but for whatever reason he didn't, so no guarantee he would have made it anyway. He wasn't exactly a guaranteed starter or used sub at the time anyway.
  3. Bartley blaming P&B posters will be a change from him constantly blaming the players for the position he's put us in. #never my fault.
  4. We could maybe get some cardboard cut-outs put in the old Stand to look like the fans. Possibly get them from the same source as Bartley gets his players.
  5. And I'm looking forward to less crowdwanking posts on the *L1 /L2* threads. * Whichever applies to QoS.
  6. Anyway, don't suppose there's much hope of Bartley retiring soon is there.
  7. Probably cos they're getting older and older people do tend to be more prone to dying. I get your point tho', it's the routine of a working life or at least staying active that keeps you going rather than just vegetating.
  8. Not sure if any are preferred by the Falkirk fans but there are a few pubs about 5 to 10 mins walk from Palmerston. Bottom of Glasgow St. there's Spread Eagle, Salutation, Globe and Devorgilla. Over the bridge into town on Buccleuch St. there's Cavens Arms ( good food, real ale) and further up is the Robert The Bruce (Weatherspoons). If coming by train head up English St. to town centre there's plenty between the train station and the ground. (some don't allow football colours)
  9. No need to work, the Government practically encourages people not to. Anyways, some of us probably look back a few posts/pages to see if we've missed anything before posting.
  10. If we do fluke a win, a big big IF granted, I'll quite happily take him giving us the full GIRUY treatment.
  11. Unfortunately Bartley seems to prefer Paul McKay to Ambrose (did against Annan anyway) so your tactic may/probably will pay off, assuming Brydon is not yet fit that is.
  12. Probably referring to the announcement at the AGM that the Board is stepping down.
  13. Do you think having the Status Quo concert at Palmerston a few years back was an omen then?
  14. Until the current Board do actually walk away they are still responsible for the well being of the Club which should involve trying to maintain as high a position in the division as possible, or even surviving in the division this season, and if that means replacing the manager then they must still make that decision. Does anyone actually know if there's anyone ready to take over as Directors, surely a better proposition to get people in if we an maintain League 1 status.
  15. I must admit to being surprised at the lack of giruy posts from other teams' fans taking the piss at QoS's downward trajectory, most seem quite understanding of the reasons. That could probably change if we do go down of course. Of course we're not a massive club like Falkirk so maybe it's not quite as amusing.
  16. I'll be a-maize-d if we get a point from this seeing who you have as our Manager. I know we are "cereal" underachievers, our season has gone aw-rye, but too late to turn the corn-er now. I can barley stand going to games now but I'll probably make the effort cos it goes against the grain for me to stay away.
  17. Just had a look in the Falkirk thread and they're discussing how difficult it will be to pick a POTY, we'll probably have the same problem .............. ............ but for completely the opposite reasons.
  18. Aye, that probably explains why the Queen of the South support is dwindling, the anti- Royalists have decided to stay away because of the name, nothing to do with the "football" being served up.
  19. ... and the game was televised which probably cut quite a few from travelling numbers.
  20. Aye, I fear he's here 'til the end if the season, at least. My hope is that the Board, assuming they still give a shit given they're jacking it in, are waiting on someone who is currently under contract becoming available in the summer before paying Bartley off.
  21. I agree on that, and not just at plastic pitches, I've no time for pyros at football but then again I'm an old fart well behind the times. The ones that were thrown on yesterday came from over the fence from the road so proving who did it wouldn't be easy. Also, what was occurring at half-time, looked like a supporter from the Annan end came on for a kick about with the Queens subs, a few stewards ran from away end to deal with it.
  22. He's doing (relatively) OK on the goals front since he came in considering the fairly limited game time he's been getting. No doubt he'll soon settle into mediocrity to blend in with the rest of the squad.
