  1. Probably because the bookies know that he's odds on favourite to end up at The Falkirk Stadium in the summer. Source?
  2. My mistake on the detail 🖐 I knew he had had a successful time at Dumbarton in some capacity. Cheers
  3. I just don't think you've answered the question directly about what Thomson has over Murray that makes him such a better candidate. If you think one year's experience on an astronomical budget trump's Murray's experience to date then that's where I have a right to scrutinise your logic, but not dismiss it.
  4. Presume you are just skulking about other club's threads to stir it up. I'm glad I ended my 5 odd year long hiatus from this forum to be encountered by such weird logic. As much as I respect your opinion.
  5. So a 41 year old Ian Murray has "blown his chance" at a full time club. Do you think it's as black and white as that? Kevin Thomson has done great at Kelty but his budget probably just about surpasses the combined total of his competitors. I'll ask (for the third time), why does his achievement propel him so much higher in the reckoning than Murray, given the latters recent successes with Airdrie, not to mention his minor miracle of getting Dumbarton promoted to the Championship.
  6. He's full time at Airdrie though, all be it working with a hybrid system. Like I said I'm not suggesting he should be a favourite I'm just wondering what Thomson has over him.
  7. This has been bugging me too. I'm not saying Murray's necessarily going to be a frontrunner but why did Kevin Thomson (one years experience on a gigantic budget) immediately rocket to the top of the favourites list yet Murray (several years experience: promotion, potentially two whilst working on miniscule budgets) is barely even registering in conversations about the job...?
  8. Nice one, cheers for the confirmation. Kudos for the lyrics
  9. This is out of nowhere but I want to put my mind at ease. Few years back I was at a St Mirren game when you had Gavin Reilly. It was during the second half of the season when he'd had a really prolific start then kind of tailed off a bit. You had a song for him, which in my mind was quite memorable, but I've never known if my interpretation is what yous actually sung. In my head it went: (To the tune of Give Me Oil in My Lamp) #Twenty goals twenty goals Gavin Reilly, Twenty goals twenty goals I say Twenty goals twenty goals Gavin Reilly But he scored f**k all in Jan-ua-ry# Can anyone confirm this was indeed the lyrics or have I made that up? If I have made it up it's not bad and indeed quite fitting for that season.
  10. Previewed here - stuffy draw this one for us: (excuse shameless show plug)
  11. From an outsiders point of view, seems on balance would be a difficult decision to give Young his jotters given recent successes/cup runs. Obviously the form can only go on so long though before a decision is made. Discussed in latest episode: (excuse shameless plug )
  12. Must have got the bug back... Good luck to you, I reckon you're in safe hands
  13. Forgive me if it's been discussed to death to put it simply - if you beat Morton tomorrow are you taking Jim Duffy for the full time gig? Guys on the podcast reckon he's worthy. Also did an Ayr special last week when Hopkin left
  14. Guys on the podcast reckon Keatings will see you 6-10 points this season single-handedly. Over the top or even an underestimation? We know he's a goalscorer but to me I'm not sure if he's had a consistent run now in years...?
  15. Saying on here that yous rely a lot on Morrison. Tend to agree, downturn in form has kind of coincided with his injury.
