  1. Every QOS fan will recognise the potential for that run of results but be interesting to see what odds the bookies would give on that happening.
  2. Faldo has a huge amount of insight about playing Augusta but sadly he’s an absolute arsehole.
  3. So a bad day for Stirling with QOS and Annan both winning while they lose. Stirling v QOS a massive game next weekend while Annan visit Edinburgh. Quite possible all 3 could be on the same points after next weekends games.
  4. Very important win. My natural pessimism suggests we’ll lose at Stirling next week while Annan beat Edinburgh to leave all 3 teams on the same points with 2 games to go.
  5. Totally agree his game near the greens is dreadful. He should reflect that a level par round today would have had him only 5 shots behind. To me he looks distracted on the course. The 10th hole summed it up for me. Both he and Scheffler hit great 2nd shots. Rory misses a very makeable putt and of course Scheffler makes his. Scheffler is miles ahead of Rory atm.
  6. Another dreadful performance by Rory. He’ll likely shoot 2 good rounds over the weekend and finish top 10 and then give us his usual “taking the positives” bullshit. He’s miles away from winning a Major. Love him to prove me wrong but just don’t see it happening. Edit to add, just realised Olazabal made the cut. Great stuff.
  7. Either way he’ll still be at the Champions Dinner next year. Tremendous effort by him in R1.
  8. Yes it’s a crucial match. The importance of the match will mean McKay will do even more pointing than usual but little or no actual defending of course.
  9. Only signed until May 2024 according to Official Site but may of course have been offered an extension. Be happy if he stayed with us.
  10. Forecast suggesting high winds, heavy rain and thunderstorms in the morning. They’re delaying opening the gates to let the patrons in based on storm forecast. They seem confident of at least some play tomorrow but round one likely to be completed on Friday. Friday looks dry and windy. Forecast for the weekend looks glorious. Sunny and very warm with only light winds. It’ll all be on schedule for rounds 3 and 4 I would reckon. Sunday evening watching the Masters with a suitable refreshment is one of my favourite sporting events. Can’t wait.
  11. Yes I understand your point. When you look at the really solid pros in that team with the likes of McKenna, Dowie, Higgins and Lyle plus youngsters like Holt and Reilly it makes you realise how far we’ve fallen as a club. Challenging for a play off spot in a championship that contained the likes of Hibs and Rangers. In that week alone we beat Hibs at Easter Road followed by wins over Rangers and Falkirk at Palmerston.
  12. Always good to get a win. There's been no sign of the players downing tools and though the quality isn't there the effort still seems to be.
  13. Except we didn’t play 4-4-2 that night. Kidd and Holt as wing backs on either side of Durnan, Dowie and Higgins. https://www.qosfc.com/match-1075
  14. We’re no longer using mats, as of April 1st, but the back 9 remains closed due to flooding and given it’s pissing down again today I don’t see that changing anytime soon. Hugely frustrating.
  15. A good number of other squad probables/possibles didn’t feature at the weekend. Hickey, McTominay, Patterson, Ralston, Brown. Suspect I’ve missed some others too. BBC saying tonight that 26 man squads still under consideration.
  16. So Everton finally win a game on Saturday only to get hit with a further 2 point deduction under financial fair play rules. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport
  17. Surely you’d want to get on with this next shot. Bizarre. Edit or maybe not. That’s a great shot.
  18. Astonishing stuff. 4 shot lead going into final round, shoot 5 under and still don’t win outright. Amazing.
  19. I actually meant the group in terms of underachievement. I like Brydon as a player. Could have put that better.
  20. Just had a look on our official site. As is well documented Bartley is contracted to May 2025. Someone understandably commented yesterday that they can’t wait for the end of the season but a fair number of our underachieving players I.e. Brydon, Church, Hutchinson, Doherty, Cochrane and McKechnie are also contracted to May 2025.
  21. Yes please. Every chance still that we'll be 9th. Bullshit Bartley has us firmly in the mix.
  22. I'd be including the board in that list too. They're not so much sleepwalking as comatose IMHO.
