    Aye, salt of the earth.

It's been posted a few times lately, there are 1 or 2 older ones with ideas above their station & think their the dugs, but the vast majority of these kids wear Sons scarves, flags & sing.

They're a breath of fresh air.

These youngsters are our future support, as Jan Vojacek, I think posted last week, maybe Farrell/dfc could talk with some of them & say what is acceptable & what is not.

Does it even remotely matter? When is the last time these wee fannys attended a game and didn’t cause bother? I’d rather they kept their pocket money if it means they don’t turn up and smash bus windows/break seats/set off flares/steal match balls.

The youngsters were great today, no problems at all and there was maybe 70-80 of them.

A whole section at the end of the stand bouncing & singing.

They possibly contributed roughly close to £1k to the Club today, £8-£10 a head and hot dogs, cola and macaroni pie central.

    Good on them I say.

  3. No Carswell >>> No party

Missed our captain big time today, him and Paton ran the show in midfield at Clyde last week.

As for our pitch, well that certainly didn't help, but that was a very winnable game today and we couldn't step up. Big 3 points for Alloa, well done to them.

Fair play to all the youngsters too for getting an atmosphere going.

Did those wee fannys do that again aye? I noticed it was their first away day travelling on the supporters bus, hopefully someone had a word with them after the game.

There was around 30 or 40 youngsters at the back of the stand, a lot of them came by train, I seen them at the station, Clyde stewards had a word with them a few times during the match.

To be fair most of them are ok, and made a good racket today, a couple of older ones seem to be looking for trouble though.

The stream was as brutal as our “football”.  AI camera can’t cope with sunlight and still gets distracted by other moving white objects like plastic bags and, I think, the Dumbarton keeper’s boots.  These things should have been sorted by now.  Several losses of signal and no audio after a few minutes (maybe not a bad thing).  While I’m on, why did the ref think wearing Dumbarton colours was a good idea?  If the Dumbarton subs had warmed up in that kit, he’d have told them to cover it up.

Neither the football nor broadcasts like this are really worth watching, I’m afraid.

    That's horrendous

I'd be raging too if I'd shelled out for that.

    😁

Excellent summing up. I actually was surprised that no one had mentioned the Orsi substitution before now given he had to go off due to an off the ball incident which the officials obviously didn’t see. As for the time wasting I genuinely didn’t feel aware that the keeper was excessively time wasting. It was actually nice to be reminded what it was like to have someone who really looked like a keeper between the sticks

Kieran Wright looks like a good signing, very confident coming for the ball.

It was good to see Ramsbottom & the fans having a bit of banter during the half time warm-up too.

I know there are one or two Frank conner (sic) fans on here, so they might want to check out the Raith Rovers thread for some of his tip-top content.

Frank's a king-sized roaster for sure, looks like 1 or 2 others are after his crown though.

The Dumbarton Physio was the best on the pitch......on it so often thought they had 12 players......what a job to get all the soooooooo badly injured players up and running again.

Referee and stand side Lino were pathetic, not for the first time this season at Links Park.

This post makes the 3 hour journey to steal a point all the more worthwhile.

    Thank you x

I'm pretty sure every senior Scottish club's badge is registered with the Scottish football authorities and to change the basic design involves a submission and approval process.  The basic design has been retained here but with the addition of the scroll so I assume it can be classed as a minor change.

In any case, why fanny about with a badge which is widely known throughout football ?  Change just for change's sake ?

    "Just change for change's sake"

Well our 150th year of existence is quite special & that crest posted by super-son looks quite classy.

Certainly looks better than adding an unimaginative, shitty looking scroll beneath our current badge, as was posted on the official DFC website.

Quite remarkable that a fan on a football chat site can come up with something better than our dear leader's isn't it?

The bottom line is that a point from this game would at 3pm have been deemed as acceptable, so on that basis job well done.  We know however that Cove have much more quality than ourselves, and the truth is that they blew it when they blasted over from four yards at 2-1 up; 3-1 and we were toast.  Some good individual performances from our guys but also some glaring deficiencies like allowing Cove the freedom of the wings, never mind the weekly schizophrenic goalkeeping display.

Tbf, if Conner Duthie didn't have a head shaped like a 50p piece, we'd have been 2-0 up at the break.

    Absolutely correct.

Cove were there for the taking especially in the first half.

Ah Bronsky, kinda expected that after his game as trialist last week.

A few new faces in recently. Expecting a tougher game next week than when we last met the Sons at the Rock.

Just a pity Wylde and Bronsky were unavailable today, never know we may have nicked it or extra time at least.
