  1. The average age of the players we've used this season is 21.9, by quite some distance the youngest in the league. Dunfermline are second though at 23.7; for context Arbroath are the oldest at 29.
  2. Difficult to say, we weren't a lot better against Thistle or Raith but I still think today was the poorest performance yet. The team has talent but a serious lack of depth or ability to do anything different when passing it about looking for the perfect opening doesn't work. If we don't beat Ayr next week then the alarm bells will seriously start ringing.
  3. Easily our worst performance of the season so far. Wouldn't say I'm concerned or anything yet, but our unwillingness to shoot in decent areas is so frustrating. You get to 1 or 2 down and there's pretty much nobody on the bench who can realistically make a difference either.
  4. Ayr Utd 0-1 Partick Thistle Arbroath 3-2 Airdrie Dundee Utd 4-0 Morton Queen's Park 2-0 Dunfermline Raith Rovers 1-1 Inverness

    Week 1

Was unreal, enjoyed it far more than I expected. I've watched plenty of the sport over the years without ever really getting into it but that may have converted me.

    Week 1

Ravens looking a bit shaky defensively, but Zay Flowers is the real deal.
  7. Crowd will be considerably more than that IMO. The club will promote the game like mad, and will give away a lot of tickets to local schools and community groups. Depending on the number of away fans I don't think 4k is unachievable - we had 3.2k vs Accies at Hampden last season. It's obviously still a small crowd relative to the size of the stadium though!
  8. We only have two, and one of them was signed specifically because we have a couple of young guys who are almost but not quite ready to make the step up so a permanent signing was unnecessary.
  9. Would like to see us bring in a couple of loanees before this; hopefully the "break" will give us the opportunity to do that. Feels like a good opportunity to bounce back after playing against two of the better sides in the league over the past couple of weeks. The more game time these young guys get, the better prepared they'll be to compete at this level (and not put in daft challenges, or throw away leads). I would imagine we'll be favourites for this but you never know. Hope the occasion of being back at Hampden doesn't get to the players.
  10. The number of people I know who never smoked before these became widely available, or did at some point but managed to chuck it altogether, is absolutely wild.
  11. I don't follow the sport much, but I'm there for something else and it was handy timing so I couldn't say no. I'm sure I'll be gubbed from the jetlag anyway and get down there very early, will definitely make sure I have a fair few drinks. Cheers!
  12. Aye that seems to be the main thing I need to know.
  13. Ravens vs Texans in Baltimore, hoping for a nice, easy home win.
  14. Right folks, I've never been to an NFL game in my life but that's going to change on Sunday. Have done a fair bit of research but does anyone have any advice to make sure I have the best experience possible? Quite looking forward to it.
  15. Week 1 - Celtic Week 2 - Rangers Week 3 - Hamilton Week 4 - Falkirk Week 5 - Dumbarton
  16. I realise it means very little, but the Baltimore Orioles are now tied with the 1922-24 Yankees for third place in number of consecutive series (minimum two games) without having been been swept at 83. A fun little statistic, even if breaking the overall record of 125 set by the Cardinals in the 40s is unrealistic.
  17. We didn't create that many chances, but despite being a man down I felt that overall it was a pretty even game. Don't think there's a whole lot between the sides and I'd expect the rest of the games to be fairly close this season too.
  18. Having now watched it back, that red card was utterly ridiculous. I thought so at the time too but you never know until you've had a closer look at it. Really hope the players are able to recognise that yesterday was an excellent battling performance despite the referee and a couple of mental managerial decisions, and build on that; we really should've at least come away with a point.
  19. That defeat is 100% on Robin Veldman. At 2-1 up we looked more likely to score again than condece, and he's bringing on a 17 year old left back who struggled last week to hold a lead even though Tommy Robson had been great. Don't think there was much between the teams so that's very frustrating.
  20. That would be a very funny outcome, but I bet teams pushing for the playoffs will be all over guys like Giolito. Regardless, they're absolutely screwed now. They spent a fortune, didn't trade Ohtani who's going to be a free agent after this season, and their farm system is horrible.
  21. The Angels really are a total bin fire of an organisation.
  22. Arbroath 1-1 Ayr United Dundee United 3-1 Airdrie Morton 0-2 Partick Thistle Inverness 1-1 Dunfermline Raith Rovers 1-2 Queen's Park
  23. It's possible, but I think we've seen enough already this season to feel relatively optimistic. Even yesterday we played some decent football, but my expectation is that we'll be a bit hot and cold. Having a proper goalscorer is quite often the difference maker at this level though and we've got one of them in Ruari Paton.
  24. I actually like Dunfermline, I just like The Simpsons memes even more.
