  1. If you'd watched us last season we had a team full of them. Its nothing new.
  2. They did play well last night. But for a full season they were fucking dugmeat n never tried a leg and stole a wage that shouldn't be forgotten. For that reason there's a few I wouldnt be sad to see the back of. McGlynn looks to be hamstrung and will have to make do but seems to be making the best of what he has so far. Theres still some ringers in that squad.
  3. Have to admit he would have been a decent signing.
  4. Still think we need a bit more than two strikers, that bench was horrific and if we get the inevitable injuries/suspensions we will be very light.
  5. Not a lot in midfield either. Going nowhere fast with the triumvirate of Nesbitt, McGuffie and Hetherington continued presence in there.
  6. Reading are seemingly under a transfer embargo so are hoping for a loan or he gets freed.
  7. I'll reserve judgement on McKay till the league season is well and truly underway. You know at some point he'll revert to type, but so far he's probably been the most improved of last season's dross. Don't see him starting when everyone is fit but maybe thats the kick up the backside he was needing in that he's going to have to fight for a place.
  8. He was never signing for us, I fully expected him to go to Killie or St Johnstone, great move for him.
  9. Honest assessment by McGlynn in post match interview. Quite refreshing in the sense he isn't slavering a lot of pish like his predecessors. Sounded a little frustrated that he doesn't have the numbers or quality he wants at least not yet. Hopefully that gets rectified soon.
  10. Part of me feels sorry for Wilson but by f**k he doesn't help himself. It's almost like he needs a howler just to remind himself and everyone else how utterly hopeless he is.
  11. Pretty much agree with what's been said, defence looks much more solid, but middle to front is miles short of quality. McGuffie, Nesbitt, Hetherington just aren't good enough, and Morrison . Five better quality additions needed including two strikers and a right back if we are to do anything this season. Early days still but I've not been overly impressed with Oliver.
  12. Fair point, Sheerin and Rennie were fairly content with the squad too but they were deadly serious when every man and his dug knew they were utter shite.
  13. Going by McGlynn's interview it doesn't look like McKay or Ross or Sneddon are going anywhere soon and seems happy with the squad. Problems trying to get a goalscorer like most teams i'd suggest we need two strikers. Malcolm out injured so looks like we might see Wilson up front at some point tomorrow (shudder)
  14. Be interesting tomorrow to see what line up and formation McGlynn goes with. I'm not sure what I want from this game obviously a win but in terms of personnel if some of those with coats on a shoogly peg have a decent game will it cause a rethink by McGlynn if he was thinking of jettisoning a few..
  15. Hopefully you sign him then. Sounds like an absolute nothing player and as much as I think McGlynn has recruited reasonably well for us so far on paper at least with the possible exception of Gary Oliver who just feels like a meh signing, Kennedy I don't think I'd be too bothered about missing out on.
  16. I don't think that will matter the opponents already know Nesbitt, McGuffie and Hetherington make up a good part of midfield so the forwards won't see the ball much anyway.
  17. Thought there might have been a signing in the forward department or someone else leaving today, the thought of Wilson up front on Saturday at any point gives you the dry boak.
  18. Raith thread saying Kilmarnock are in for Ethan Ross hopefully he says he will only sign if his brother can come with him to help him settle in.
  19. Chances are we won't be the only ones interested in Ugwu if indeed we are. Maybe McGlynn is just helping the guy out fitness wise. Part of me thinks it's a pity we didn't have Dowds for another year as I think McGlynn would have got the best out of him like Campbell did at Arbroath.
  20. You've obviously not seen our midfield. Anyone who put in a bit of effort never mind skill saw our lot roll over last season. And we still have a good few of the protagonists.
