  1. Yeh, it's looking grim Worrying is that we seemed to have more fight earlier in the season, we beat Bolton 3-1 away in October
  2. And yet, around bonfire night, try telling the dogs and their owners that your fireworks are only trying to be friendly and don't mean any harm and see their response . Hypocrites.
  3. Thank arse it's the camera, I thought I had cataracts
  4. Get Salmond back He had the gift of persuading opposition politicians to do what he wanted. He got Cameron to agree to a referendum BIzzum woman just shouted at the opposition, no guile or persuasion, just screeching like a fucking smoke alarm Humza's just sort of where he is by accident because no one better is available
  5. Used to be the model. A few GPs as partners in an old house. Now a lot are mega health companies who run multiple practices covering 10,000s of people, and GPs are just regular employees and they employ as few as possible to keep profits up, which is how they can afford the 3/4 storey shiny surgeries that sprung up now. https://www.ft.com/content/4f2e1a38-27f5-4e38-9bd8-70f0ae6b206a Getting back to the original post, I've done the whip out a mobile trick in the surgery to make an appt. When I actually went back for the appt they had shiny new signs saying no mobiles, lol I also think the reception staff generally just have a natural selection towards being abrupt, unhelpful human beings. Anyone pleasant can't stand doing it for long.
  6. They do look a lot better than what we had. A couple more in we've got a chance. Way I see it we've only got to be better than 4 other teams, surely that's doable with half a new and improved first team?
  7. Barnsley 2-1 Carlisle Dodgy pen for Barnsley But we had about four great chances in the first 10 minutes and only took one. One of them a dreadful miss. The ref cost us but we cost ourselves more by not taking the chances. At least no howlers from us
  8. It would help if Reading were docked another millyun billyun points too https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67899988
  9. Nah, was back for Cheltenham/Port Vale over xmas/New year. Cheltenham was stunningly bad (from both sides), we looked better v Port Vale. Might be another month or so before I see them in the flesh again We seem to have cut out the howlers at least, now just need to get the goals going in the other end and stop conceding every single game . We've got four new signings that have went straight in the first team, and maybe 1 or 2 more to come, so if they're better than what we've had we've a chance... No disrespect to the players we had, but the last third of last season we struggled against teams in the top ten of league two (season seemed to be backloaded with fixtures against playoff/promotion contenders). Didn't beat a single one and drew most of them so having the same squad sail through league one was going to be difficult. For the most part you can blame the old board, who saw a takeover on the horizon and weren't busting the bank in the summer for new players
  10. Managed to score at least, and had one disallowed, and one of theirs was offside etc etc Give the new signings 2/3 games grace to gel and after that we have to start motoring I know from past experience with relegation battles (Carlisle have had a lot) that stringing together a few results at the bottom makes more difference than it does at the top as obviously teams are down there as they tend not to be winning...
  11. Being an Iranian catspaw isn't the key to a long and happy life
  12. Bitey dog ban to apply in Scotland after realising people were moving them up here https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-67948509
  13. Just signed Bradford's keeper for a fee - heady times https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67939346
  14. Roadside Picnic man https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roadside_Picnic
  15. So it's really not "we have a plan to make you £10,000 better off", it's "wouldn't it be great to be £10,000 better off" Well, yeah
  16. Exeter 2-1 Carlisle 20 odd games on the trot we haven't kept a clean sheet
  17. One was paid back within 2 days? That's the interesting bit to me, the SNP so cash poor they needed the equivalent of a payday loan. They must have needed 7.5k to pay for something very urgently and then got enough income 48 hours later to pay it back? Did they stick a bet on?
  18. April to June is the best part of the year I'm also always astonished that late November with dark nights / snow like we saw this year is only 3 months on from late August. The year seems to take an age to warm up but goes cold very quickly. I therefore propose the new month of #HEXEMBER to slot in between August and September to slow it down a bit
  19. The problem with not banning these toddler maiming machines is now all the dingbats who think they wouldn't hurt a fly are moving them up here, thereby increasing the chances of attacks in Scotland https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/newsbeat-67847397 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-67787667 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-birmingham-67865729
  20. Scott Arthur's the labour pick for Edinburgh South West, he'll be my MP this time next year. Yay!
  21. Seemed easier to put it in the net, foul or not. With a penalty the goalies back in play.
  22. Honestly, I didn't see that win coming 75 mins in. Big thing is we didn't make any howlers today which helps. Rumours about Gibson leaving which I hope is false, one of our few creative players
  23. So one of their goals wasn't entirely gifted by us? That's a novelty I hope I'm astonished by the array of quickly gelling star signings next week, we need them
  24. Away to Wigan tomorrow. I'm going to go for a 4-0 away win just to be contrary
