  1. Where better to learn than P&B? I've made no comment on this subject, just asked questions. I'm grateful for the responses.
  2. Are you saying that we should be using some of our playing budget to set up a full time professional women's team?
  3. As Joni Mitchell said ' you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone. For what it's worth Ajax are not trying to sort today's problems out. They are trying to protect the future -same as QP. Beuker will make more money at Ajax but will he have the opportunity to be the hero that he could be here. I don't think so. Unfortunately he had a '10 year contract' but only a 5 year visa so I don't think we can make a fortune from his move. I sincerely hope that he stays
  4. I will be disappointed if he goes. I bought in to the project. His appointment meant that we still stood for something. If Queens Park is to have any kind of future it's got to be about developing talent and about acting and playing differently - even if that doesn't always result in victory. We are not going to attract a large fan base from scratch. Promotion to the Premier League would have compromised that underlying ambition so I was not as disappointed as some when that didn't happen. I'm worried now what happens. Do we just become another run of the mill Scottish team draining our benefactor's bank account until he gets bored? I hope that if Beuker goes the plan stays in place and we keep trying to do what we are trying to do on and off the pitch.
  5. Or maybe referring to Rangers as Glasgow? Or even 'The' Greenock against Mirren is always a tasty affair Maybe you enjoy watching Midlothian, or perhaps South or even Park. His joke may have been weak but your argument is rubbish
  6. I don't think he had any ropey moments. He made one save of note and that was it

  8. I guess the major hole in my argument is that people would buy home tickets just to get points and not go. You also make a fair point about merchandise etc and I can see that the demand might just be for the glory games. I still think tho' that there should be some option for very loyal home fans - perhaps taken over a longer period than the current points schedule - to get to Germany. Maybe a separate ballot for those with an extended period (of suffering)
  9. Yeah but think it through. Points are only useful for away games and every one that attends home games and gives money to the SFA would have the same opportunity to go to away games. Why prioritise someone that can afford to pay third party airfares and hotel rates to go to Kazakhstan over someone that gets a bus from Peterhead to Hampden to support the team on a rainy midweek. I'm speaking as someone that attends enough away games to feel safe that I have enough points to get tickets for Germany and I come across Scotland fans that go to all away games that don't live in Scotland. I suspect that they don't make some of those midweek Hampden games.
  10. I am of the opposite view. I would only give points for home games. That would give priority to fans that actually financially support Scotland. Similar to the way club sides look after their fans. Why would you want to favour guys that only go to away games?
  11. Scottish football needs all the revenue it can get. It would be crazy to turn away custom. It would not be difficult to come to an agreement with the SFA whereby they take all of the "excess income" as part of the rent
  12. Will Tizzard. That's a name to conjure with. A song maybe?
  13. I would have thought that the club can now decide who the caterer is at Lesser and can definitely influence the pricing. Fans can likewise influence the pricing by not buying anything. When we move in to Hampden of course we are again locked in to the contracted catering so if this is part of the sharing deal then you may be right.
  14. 13 goals conceded in a week . Still what a great season notwithstanding the schlep to Stenhousemuir and the Friday night games. I think the 15th place finish is the best in my lifetime. Hopefully we get back to Lesser next season . Enjoy the summer everyone.
  15. Ok I'll bite I am intrigued as to what not moving on looks like. Is action being taken? Are banners being made? What happens now?
  16. You are comparing Queens park to Celtic, Rangers, Hibs and Hearts. Interesting. Where do you stand on the Gretna comparison?
  17. Queens park is a 'business' with a committee and members. The CEO is not perhaps a CEO in the traditional sense. Maybe Ms Dempster would welcome more salaried employees as it would increase her control and influence. After all what CEO would want to be accountable to a committee? Maybe the directors should draw salaries too?
  18. I get it. Money was spent, time was used. Someone made a mistake, we're out of the cup. If it had been player error would you be calling for resignation? If the individual is indeed a volunteer are you going to volunteer to replace them? I'm sure they feel bad enough without a crowd at the door with torches and pitchforks. We can move on now or move on later. I'm choosing to move on now.
  19. I'm loving the new top. It's the green of the dear green place, the blue of the sky and the river. It's the famous street grid and the blocks of noble tenements. Oh and a Playtex cross your heart bra to represent the support
