Rangers' Wee Spot in Europe - Season 2023/24
Lost In The Humming Air replied to The_Kincardine's topic in Scots in Europe
Thank you Uefa. Maybe this might light a fire under the authorities in Scotland to actually start dealing with this vile shit. Probably not though. -
The Famous Aberdeen’s European Tour 19/20

4-0 aggregate defeat. Sad thing is you genuinely don't expect anything from our clubs in Europe anymore. -
Scotland's Shame
Lost In The Humming Air replied to deadasdillinger's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
Funny that Rangers fans pushed for Celtic supporters allocation to be restricted at Ibrokes with their 'offensive singing' being widely given as a significant reason. Actually its not really funny at all. -

Well done to Aberdeen, you have saved our game from complete humiliation tonight. -

New Kits 2019/20
Lost In The Humming Air replied to stu2910's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
Really liking those Partick Thistle kits. I don't think they have worn that new home kit combination since the 1970's ?, its great to see it brought back. -

Uninteresting match up for the final. They should rename this thing the Sky TV Cup Final. Or has that already been taken by the Europa League Final ? -
Killie's "European" Tour 2019/20
Lost In The Humming Air replied to Ocular Patdown Required's topic in Scots in Europe
Here's hoping Killie can get to the group stages, that would be amazing. It's been too long since anyone outside the OF did anything of note in Europe at all. -

Surreal scenes of mass delusion at the end. -
Sevco v the 8 times CHAMPIONS

I get that this is a meaningless game but Celtic really haven't turned up at all. So many anonymous players. It's telling just how desperate Rangers are to celebrate something. -

The football romantic in me wanted Ajax in the final. That injury time goal was truly horrible and it now means a boring all English final. Money is everything now though. -
Rangers vs Hibs
Lost In The Humming Air replied to HibsFan's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
Feeble stuff from Hibs and not much better from Rangers either. To be honest I nearly fell asleep in the second half so thanks to mad dog MacGregor for livening it up at the end. -

Celtic v Kilmarnock
Lost In The Humming Air replied to Flybhoy's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
Actually, Celtic have been going backwards for over a year due to lack of proper investment. Lennon is just steadying the ship just now. Interesting to see Moyes in the stand today. -
Celtic v Kilmarnock
Lost In The Humming Air replied to Flybhoy's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
Well that was an enjoyable game, credit to Kilmarnock for a decent performance. Could have got something if they had taken those first half chances. As for no. 5 scoring the winner in the 67th minute, wow... -
Celtic v Kilmarnock

Entertaining first half, decent display so far from Kilmarnock. Shooting from both sides the only negative. -
Albums regarded as classics that are absolute gash
Lost In The Humming Air replied to RockMusic's topic in The Music Forum
Quite a few mentions of the Eagles here although I'm not sure who exactly has ever regarded them as having made a classic album ? Agree about clunkers on even the best Dylan albums. Take Blonde On Blonde, a highly lauded album. Mostly deserved I think however it does start with two of the worst pieces of drivel I have ever heard from him. For me - Television frequently appear on these critics lists, dull pub rock as far as my ears can tell. -

What Nationalities have you been mistaken for?
Lost In The Humming Air replied to Kejan's topic in The Travel Forum
Twice in Germany I have been mistaken for being Dutch. In Spain I was almost mistaken for being French. I say almost. Attempting to buy tickets for a CF Elche match I decided to impress the locals by doing this in their own language. At which point, for reasons I cannot fathom, I began speaking in appalling French. -

Musicians You'd Have Loved to Have Seen...
Lost In The Humming Air replied to Quitongo's Left Peg's topic in The Music Forum
Its Dylan's metal album. Not exactly subtle but the versions of Memphis Blues, One Too Many Mornings, Idiot Wind and especially Shelter From The Storm are fantastic. Positively spits fury at times. But probably not really representative of that tour overall. Live 1975 is closer. Anyway the new Martin Scorcese documentary on this tour should be interesting.
