  1. I mean, it probably was forward in the real world, but in top rugby these days?
  2. Yeah, that was a try for me. Would be raging at that the other way.
  3. I thought it was really good. Dominated the majority of the game, looked threatening throughout, defended well enough and no real failures. Biggest issue was that we didn't score more, some of those chances we really need to start taking again. Thought Nachmani and Ayunga looked good together, though the big miss from Nachmani it looked like they didn't really look like they knew what the other was doing, but that should come if they get more chances together. Kiltie was good in midfeild, Taylor and Tanser excellent down the left again. Anyway, good win and good performance. Hopefully some of the moonhowlers will calm down a bit, for a week at least.
  4. Finally the Glasgow slow start did them tonight, you can't go 19-0 down to these teams in the first quarter and expect to get anything. The fightback was decent, and they showed the usual grit and fight that they always do, but they have to start games faster.
  5. Or the financial suicide of giving free and cheap tickets to kids, local charities and sports teams.
  6. Aberdeen (like most teams in the league) change manager and most of the players every couple of years at least. I'd love to know how they somehow manage to indoctrinate a random bunch of Macedonians, Danes, Dutch, English and Kiwis amongst many others to have such strong feelings about a team they'd probably barely heard of a few months earlier. Some effort.
  7. I noticed there is a tiny potential stooshie brewing over the Blair Kinghorn money with some suggestion that there is no point spending it on Edinburgh. I have to be honest I don't see a position where spending a bit of cash is going to make much difference to Edinburgh. Center maybe? They seem to have top players backed by decent youngsters in almost every position whereas a decent 10 would probably make Glasgow truly competitive overnight? Maybe I'm just biased....
  8. Same, Zander was also excellent. Played about 75 mins and had no problems at all with Kitshoff when he came on.
  9. What a kick to finish it. That was a good game to be fair, really enjoyed it. I'm actually enjoying this Glasgow team a lot, probably my favourite since the great team of the mid 10s. Ok, there is nothing like the talent of Hogg, Russell, J.Gray, Nakawara etc, but so much grit and bottle and they still score some beautiful tries.
  10. Feel a bit sorry for Afshar if he's not coming on, but fair play to Kennedy, he has not let us down since he's been back in.
  11. Lovely Johnny Matthews again.
  12. Think Tuipolotu has been quietly really good. Nothing flash but most of the time when he's taken the ball it's been followed by a good decision that's moved us on.
  13. I love Johnny Matthews.
  14. Yes you do, it's the same kind of half arsed pat down Kyle was talking about where they are almost actively trying not to find anything, but it happens at all the pro games in Scotland.
  15. That was proper honking from Edinburgh. It's worrying that a team that fall to pieces so easily at the littlest hint of adversity and manage the game so, so badly provide such a huge amount of Scotland players.
  16. Edinburgh just gone behind to a try where they basically repeatedly threw the ball backwards behind each other from the Bennetton 22 to their own line for the Bennetton guy to fall on it. For a team with such talent they are such a constant let down.
  17. To be fair to Brown, if we wrote off everyone who's put in a bad 70 mins for Scotland we'd have a pretty small squad. I mean, you wouldn't exactly be enthusiastic about Dykes if all you'd seen of him was his thoroughly ineffective subs performance. In saying that it is getting to the crunch now, and if you don't have the credit in the bank you have to take the chance when you get it. Funnily enough the lack of game time has almost worked in Shankland's favour. As folk have said above, if nothing else he's shown he's a better bet as a last throw of the dice when you need a goal.
  18. I quite enjoyed it, for a game with nothing much riding on it, it was a fun watch at times, but was disappointing how poor we were after going 3-2 up. A few of the guys who maybe had to prove something today just didn't unfortunately, and the back 4 just didn't work. Gunn, Hickey, Robertson and Tierney were always on the plane if fit, but god, today really showed how much we need them fit and firing in Germany.
  19. I'm enjoying Glasgow this season, they are more than the sum of their parts, hard working and gritty as f**k, yet still able to score the odd joyous try. I just think in the final reckoning it will end up like last season where they'll do well up to a point, but the lack of talent will tell and we will get rolled over by the bigger teams. I just don't see how you beat a fully loaded Leinster/Munster/Stormers/Saracens/Toulon, etc etc with Tom Jordon or Dunky Weir at 10 for example.
  20. I was sure they'd give the Motm to Horne just for the wind up.
  21. Brilliant, excellent from Horne, who gets cheap shotted on the floor of course, because that's just allowed now.
  22. Glasgow's kicking, especially the kicking to compete or regain has been really bad today.
  23. He's getting nothing from Brace, he's obviously pissed him off, but he's still got to do his job.
  24. That's a real sore one for Bennetton. Great try.
