  1. Yeah, maybe, but it won't make your comments right now look any less stupid.
  2. We've signed 4 players, one is a keeper which we needed, two are strikers to replace Main/Watt and Brophy (Madron was not who we expected, but he is definitely what we expected). The only different player is McMenamin, who we are hoping brings goals and creativity, something else we badly need. It's about as far from "scattergun" as you can get, it's actually pretty conservative and very predictable.
  3. Thing about Strain for me is he's quite specialised. He plays that right wing back role specifically and doesn't seem particularly flexible, so he'd need to go somewhere where they play that system, which might also be why he's found Australia caps harder to come by, unlike Baccus who plays a position and a style that most teams of his level could accommodate. I suppose that could work either way on his value, but the market of clubs to sell him to might be smaller than we think.
  4. And they have! Could be a fantastic signing if fit and the injury hasn't affected his pace too much. Would be great to get him back in and about the Scotland squad as well.
  5. He was really good in the 2-1 win we had at home earlier in the season as well. Bullied our backline and scored an excellent goal. I'm really surprised at the amount of our fans turning their nose up at him.
  6. I totally agree, I think Anderson would suit us perfectly and would score a decent amount of goals in our set up. He strikes me as a very "Robinson" style player.
  7. I can't even think who Duffy was, obviously left a real impression.
  8. Yeah, there is no point in loaning Jamieson now, we've given him the 1 year deal to prove himself. He's already pretty much shown he's a decent enough championship/top end league one striker. This is his chance at the Prem, he'll either take it, or be at Airdrie next season.
  9. Why? If he's naive enough to throw a massive tantrum because his family of rangers fans wanted to see him get a few stuck past him in an end of season dead rubber because the manager wanted to give another player some minutes, then naive enough to have his brother shout at the manager over it at the poty while he does nothing then I'd say there is plenty of scope for several different scenarios here.
  10. Will we have to pay him if he's refusing to come to work? Surely he's breaching his contract?
  11. Finally, somebody took some iniative and phoned the club. Well done.
  12. Yeah, but if a team have offered money for him now, plans may change.
  13. Yeah, I'm not sure we had a consistently good keeper between Money and Hladky. We had a few that were alright, not properly shite or anything, but none that were as good as the last few.
  14. It's not young either tbf. I think he'd likely be the second of third oldest starter in the league next season, behind Hart and possibly Marshall, but Hibs have signed a new keeper as well. Don't get me wrong, I'd rather he stayed, I can just see a scenario where a bid might be accepted.
  15. I suppose another way of looking at the Carson thing is he's 35 and will need replacing at some point. If there is a team offering us decent money to do that now instead of a year or two's time maybe they think it's worth doing?
  16. Derry Alli's triumphant return to the St Mirren thread since he went into hiding following two consecutive seasons of incorrectly tipping us for the drops and also insisting we would never make top six this season not going very well then? Poor wee guy.
  17. Leftfield were excellent. Fatboy slim rolling back the years now. Really enjoyed Rick Astley going full Partridge whilst covering the Smiths earlier too, Lizzo also fantastic.
  18. Yesterday I saw people claiming Carson was signing for both Dundee AND Dundee United.
  19. I could see Main going to St Johnstone if it's all about the money at this stage in his career. St Johnstone pay well, or at least they did. They absolutely blew us out the water when we tried to sign O'Halloran and Middleton, though they'd just won a cup double at that point, were playing in Europe and were about to sell a couple of guys for relatively big money, so the last couple of years may have blunted their spending power a little. I still reckon they could probably offer Main more than us if they wanted to.
