  1. What I loved most about that try was that it was mostly caused by Ireland being really Irish and just blasting the ball into the air and trying to put in snidey shots instead of defending properly.
  2. The kicking was spectacularly bad, wasn't it? The wee scrum half who started actually hit a good one from about 30-40 meters in the first half, but the general kicking, both from the tee and from hand was pretty poor throughout. Some of the penalties to touch were lucky if the went 15 meters, and that was with the wind behind them. I knew the wind was behind them in the first half as the commentator mentioned it every 30 seconds.
  3. Turned it back on. Really enjoying how fucking sick the two commentators are. The Welsh team are actually a fucking disgrace, really enjoyable win.
  4. I turned it off as I couldn't hack the commentary.
  5. To be honest, I always think in rugby you should start with the risky one, if Fagerson breaks down after 20 mins, Nel will come on and see out the 60, everyone knows he can do that. If you start with Nel, then bring Fagerson on with 30 mins to go and he has to come off, you've got to bring Nel back on, not only after playing 50 mins, but having warmed down, I think they'd rather not do that. To be honest, I can feel the fear building now. We really should win on Saturday, but then you see the names Biggar, North, Owens, Williams, Adams, Jones, Beard, all these guys that have punished us in the past. The big obstacle is going to be mental!
  6. Yeah, you've fucked this I'm afraid mate. I'm sure your next effort will be much better.
  7. You haven't actually managed to express a point of view yet. Maybe you should try it, see how it goes?
  8. Yeah, I agree. Also, despite how rattled Finn has him, I very much doubt Farrell went out there and focused solely on hitting Russell all off his own back. He's too experienced and disciplined for that and apart from anything else if he was completely ignoring the game plan and doing his own thing he wouldn't have lasted 80 mins. He was quite clearly doing what Borthwick told him to.
  9. Unlucky Italy. That was a good game, can see them winning a couple this season, hopefully not against us.
  10. THINKS PISA IS SOMETHING YOU GET FROM THE TAKEAWAY!!!
  11. One of the worst individual performances I've seen in the 6n in years. Fair play to Italy for still being in this despite it.
  12. Sorry, why was that an Italy put in? Did they not carry it back?
  13. Ooofft, Italy right in this here. France having a bit of a horror show. Would love Italy to win here, imagine if the title was decided by Scotland v Italy, 12.30 KO on the last day?
  14. Yeah, sorry, your point is correct, I just ignored it there and had a rant of my own instead!
  15. Fair play to Italy, if it hadn't been for the suicidal plays on their own line and their horrendous scrum half who is having an absolute nightmare they could easily be winning here. They do remind me a bit of Scotland around 2016/17, can see how good they can be and what they are trying to do, but errors will kill them in the end.
  16. Funny thing is, Freddie Steward was absolutely shite. Sometimes I think people don't appreciate how hard it is to tackle one on one in open field, but Steward didn't actually make any of them. His efforts on both White and DVM were pathetic and anything but "hard". For a guy who was being touted as the best fullback in the world he's pretty shite.
  17. Good try from the Frenchman who was born in France.
  18. Being born in Scotland isn't even enough for some of them. I was actually quite sad today to find out Ange Capuzzo doesn't fit the divorced English rugby dad's definition of Italian. He now has to be called the Frenchman accompanied by a shit joke about how he "DOESN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT SPAGHETTI IS!!!"
  19. Yeah, scrums are a real problem, especially when it comes to attracting the more casual fans. It's supposed to be a way of restarting the game for minor mistakes that opens up a bit of space, but at the moment they take ages, there are endless resets, and often used just for penalty milking. I don't know what they'll end up doing about them, but there needs to be a bit of a change. I'd make it a free kick instead of a penalty, especially for scrums in the middle of the pitch as it would make it pointless to milk the penalty.
  20. Yeah, it was such a clear penalty. Ritchie did brilliantly to stay over the ball legally for so long as well. You get the impression if he'd fallen at any point the ref would have given it the other way, not to mention the fact he was at risk of serious injury the whole time, another big failing from the ref.
  21. I actually didn't think we played brilliantly in all honesty. Defence was a bit ropey, missed a lot of first tackles and England were making easy meters too often, but Duhan, Steyn, Jones and Sione were such a threat throughout. Scotland will need to defend better though against the good teams. I think Russell was getting a bit of stick, but I actually thought the English were so focused on him that it opened up gaps and he found them. He's a very brave player, he doesn't give a f**k if he gets smashed as long as he gets the ball away. Wasn't the usual bag of tricks but I think he was instrumental in the win, far more than he'll be given credit for.
  22. That last penalty is hilarious when you watch it back. The ref standing there, watching it, desperately hoping it wasn't a penalty for what felt like ages as about three Scotland players are screaming at him to the point Horne is actually slapping the player over the ball on the back. He really, really did not want to give it.
  23. Ref only pointing one way this half. That scrum was a pen to Scotland.
  24. This U20 game is the most Scottish game ever, from a seemingly hopeless position they take the lead... Only to instantly relinquish it again.
  25. I saw a tweet saying all but one of the England team have played professional rugby and only one of the Scotland team has. 17 minutes of it. There needs to be more opportunity. Truth is, Scotland look fairly dangerous ball in hand and running, they are just getting blown away in the pack.
