  1. It's going to be a big few weeks coming up! Hibs and County at home, Saintees and Well away in the league, Celtic away in the cup. Never want to write off Saints off these days, but I think beating Celtic at Parkhead in the cup is probably beyond us at this stage unless Celtic have a meltdown, we play well above ourselves and we get a friendly ref, but what an opportunity that run of league games is. In recent seasons that Feb run of "winnable" games has been our downfall as we haven't won them, hopefully this time is different. Honestly think we should be aiming for 8-10 points at a minimum, though all of Hibs, County and Saintees looking a bit better at the moment. I really like watching this team as well. Nobody hides. they work hard and they seem ready to look after each other as well. Even the guys on the bench seem happy and motivated and that's a great credit to Robinson. There is just enough of a chip on the shoulder as well, few guys with something to prove and obviously relishing the chance to do so. Long may it continue!
  2. Remember when we went up there at the start of the season and got absolutely humped by the ref? It was absolutely worth it considering everything that's happened against them since. Richard Gordon was slagging Main at half time as well. Delicious.

    The Last Of Us

Yeah, I mean, I didn't think the game was exactly subtle either about the fact Bill and Frank were lovers? I saw one guy going mental saying that "partners" just meant "fighting buddies". There is even a bit where Ellie is reading one of Bill's gay porn mags.
  4. Not sure about that tbh, I'd say he's a reasonably decent penalty box striker at this level. He's not hugely effective round the park, nor is he a particularly imposing target man. At least half your fans will fucking hate him for not running around enough.
  5. Imagine though, if you're an Aberdeen fan, and you see the thread on the game you lost 6-0 has grown by about 5 pages overnight. Click on it with a feeling of trepidation wondering who has had the meltdown and how big the slagging is, only to be washed over by a sense of relief as you realise it's some Hearts fan having a heads gone because someone called him a bit of a VL.
  6. We still need judgement on the term "VL" though, maybe a dictionary link proving it doesn't mean rapist. Kyle, please advise.
  7. Whilst Ayunga would be a miss, surely we carry it, considering we have Greive, Offord and Jamieson at the club and also Kiltie as an option at a push? Carson is a different issue, they will have to replace him in some way or another. I'm guessing the Reid deal is done, so need to see if we lose Erhahon/Baccus. I hope not as I felt we missed Baccus energy yesterday and Erhahon, even when not having his best game was still the best midfielder on the pitch.
  8. In saying that, it's a good goal from our point of view, Greive is strong to hold up the ball, great run from Strain and an excellent pass from Greive at the right time, then a good, dangerous ball from Strain and Main bursting a gut to get there first and finish well.
  9. There was some kind of breakdown with the corners today, beyond just poor delivery, they were all arguing with each other over it. I think Strain thought he was putting them where they were supposed to go and someone was supposed to be attacking them at the front post or challenging Kelly, but it wasn't happening at all. TBH, our corners were ok earlier in the season when Erhahon was taking them.
  10. I wonder if the Main situation will lead to our fans being a bit more patient and willing to give players a chance before completely writing them off? Lol, only kidding, no chance.
  11. I don't think Motherwell will beat you. We were barely adequate today and still won, and could have won by more. Motherwell look a bit lightweight, especially in midfeild, and they look poor and short of confidence at the back. St Johnstone might not be amazing, but they are relatively sturdy.
  12. It wasn't a great performance to be fair, we've played way better in the supposedly disastrous 1 win in 10 and drawn or lost, but I suppose that was against far better teams. I thought a few guys had off days, O'Hara was strangely quiet, Strain struggled a bit and Gogic doesn't look as comfortable in defence, I think he's not instinctive enough and can overplay it a bit. Erhahon was a bit patchy as well, had some great touches and passes, but like most of the team, was a bit guilty of dwelling on the ball a bit and giving it away. Carson and Fraser played pretty well. Still, a win is a win. Motherwell look very poor though and wouldn't be surprised to see them in real trouble in a few weeks time. Very pissed off about the Ayunga injury, was caused by the ref who should have stopped the game far earlier than he did for a couple of fouls, which he chose to ignore.
  13. What does this have to do with your objections to the bill?
  14. What are your exact objections to the bill, what are the parts of the bill that you think create a problem that doesn't already exist, and why do you, as a libertarian, want the government to have more ability to interfere in how people live their lives?
  15. Baccus hasn't even been bad. He was good against Aberdeen, Livi and was probably the best player on the pitch against Killie. He was also fine against Hearts at SMP. This "dip in form" is basically a defeat away to Celtic and a bit of a shite performance against Dundee where the whole team were rotten.
  16. I'm not even sure we tried to keep Higdon. He was really good that second season, but we nearly went down and had a big rebuild penciled in for the summer, which included bringing in Thommo, Teale and a few others. Guys like Higdon, Dargo, etc were moved on to pay for them. Saints fans are obviously going to prefer Sutton, he won a couple of titles with us, was involved in a couple of great escapes, won the diddy cup and is rightfully in the hall of fame.
  17. I genuinely don't think there is a single person who got internet famous during the independence referendum that hadn't completely fucked it now. The internet, and especially social media has obviously been a big part of it, especially with the Boomers and Gen X. Stuff that was mostly limited to the late night ramblings of your mate's stoner big brother is now mainstream, with constant validation of your batshit mental views available 24/7 from, what can feel like, millions of people. Politicians see how powerful it is as well and if stoking a conspiracy theory, or attacking a minority can get you elected, then obviously they will do this, it's easier than having policies and doing work.

    Gigs

Aye, Delgados where amazing last night, but I think I'm going to start a petition for midweek gigs to have a 90 min limit. I'm getting too old.
  19. I see going by recent tweets on his timeline they are starting to target homosexuals in general with the "groomer" and "predator" tags, which, let's be honest, is what this was all about in the first place.
  20. Yeah, we obviously don't score enough goals so I'm a bit afraid. Fraser does tend to be the CB that "steps out" and pushes up a lot more so that might explain some of it.
  21. I don't even think it was the arse collapse against Accies that really cost us the top 6, I think there could be serious questions about Goodwin's squad building that often left us short on the big do or die runs of fixtures. We never, ever seemed to have enough defenders for example, yet always had loads of forwards/attacking midfielders. There were always people playing out if position and it ended up with a small, knackered squad running out of steam at the worst possible times.
  22. Yeah. To be fair, I thought Blair's explanation as to why they kicked it out made sense. I'm not sure I agree with it completely, but I could see why they did it.
