  1. Given that we were about 90 seconds away from defeating you in the League Cup group when we only had half a squad I’m sure your bookie loves having you as a punter.
  2. These days even Sam Ramsbottom could do that.......
  3. It remains to be seen how much game time Blues will get after this week's signings, but re the last part of your comment - what would you expect a manager to do in public - a) slag the player off the way he's usually been eviscerated on here, or b) give him some encouragement while he's been intending to play the guy? Straightforward stuff, I'd have thought.....
  4. My sig at the bottom of every post was designed for the likes of you. Entrenched in your opinions, but unfortunately for you not one f**k is given here.
  5. ""you're the sort of simpering moron who is a gift to incompetent club officials up and down the land". Is that it?? C'mon VT, I deserve I higher class of insult than your usual tired old tropes. I'll see your simpering moron and I'll raise you a sour-faced, toad-licking, miserable arse-nugget of a boy who couldn't get a f**k if he fell cock-first into a barrel full of fannies. Over to you....... Re the rest of that abortion of a post, of yours, here's what I posted that started this line of conversation:. Not a word there defending the club, is there? And from my next post on the subject:: So, not only am I not defending the club, I’m agreeing that there’s much more needing to be done behind the scenes to improve their communication with the fans and also in other areas. So, why does your post accuse me of defending the club here? Simple, it gives you the chance to launch another of your rants against the club. I hope you feel the better for it (well, I don’t, really) but in future don’t lie about what I said. Turning now to this:
  6. You think? Won't be mine, that's for sure.......
  7. Who's picking a fight? I pointed out the second-most obvious route for you to get the info you wanted; instead you chose to come on here to ask. Fair enough - but don't kid us on that you didn't enjoy having a wee moan about it as well.
  8. Agreed. So, what does one do - do you: a) show up at the ground before the game not knowing if you'll get in, or b) do the next most logical thing and phone Smith's or the club, or c) type a moaning email on P&B rather than email the club raising the same issue? You decide........ Actually, of course, you already have.
  9. Where exactly did I say that? Oh, wait - I didn't, did I? Of course there are plenty of areas where the club have to improve, but you didn't even TRY the obvious routes for information. I simply pointed out that, rather than think about what you could do to get the info you say you wanted, you went for the predictable lazy option and had a moan on here instead. Still, the post quoted shows that at least I got you thinking about it, so that's something. Whether you actually did anything about it might be another story though.
  10. Why not phone Smith's or phone or email the club instead of just assuming the arrangements have changed for some reason? Strange logic.
  11. Surprised no Accies fans have been on yet talking about money transfers to Nigeria.......
  12. The club being sold to Hugh @#&÷ק¿ Scott and almost going the way of Third Lanark because of that.
  13. a) there's no doubt that our Hamilton had more influence on the result than yours, and b) why would we be giving a toss about yours anyway? You want to talk about him, fill your boots: doesn't look like anyone else does.
  14. ^^^ agreed. We obviously needed an experienced manager to come in in order to keep us in the division last season, and it should’ve been done sooner, but Il was a bit underwhelmed when Gus got the job and that feeling pretty much stayed with me till the end of the regular season. Looking back, though, it seems fairly obvious that his pragmatic approach to that last quarter was the right one, given the unbalanced nature of the squad and the overall lack of much quality. Getting McGinn on loan helped just enough to drag us above automatic relegation, though it was far from pretty, and we managed to get through the playoffs relatively comfortably. Now that he’s able to build his own squad and employ his own ideas I think we’re starting to see the benefits. Yes, recruitment has been worryingly slow, whatever the reasons, but the small squad have already turned in good performances against Kilmarnock, Dunfermline and Hamilton. Gus has even got Blues playing a much better game than we’d previously seen from him - that pass for yesterday’s goal was a cracker - though the jury’s still out on the decision to keep Muirhead with us. Assuming he manages to bring in the 3 or 4 players he’s looking for, and assuming they are of the quality of Hamilton, Lithgow, Ugwu and (hopefully) Russell I think we could be looking at the best season since Duffy’s second-last one faltered near the end.
  15. You're naw finished you're only 28! He's probably naw Finnish either.......
  16. Excellent result, given the lack of depth in the squad at the mo. 3 or 4 new players in over the next 3 weeks or so and we should be ok at the very least.
  17. Ah well, maybe next week we’ll get to see what Lyon can do…….
  18. Aye. Let’s see if that is even grudgingly acknowledged in some quarters…….
  19. I think that's a wee bit on the pessimistic side tbh. Dunfermline have improved their squad in the close season (though whether their new manager is an upgrade remains to be seen) and are certainly expected by most to finish somewhere in the top four. Hamilton have players with years of top division experience and have made what looks like a few good signings. Early days, but I'd expect them to finish higher up the league than we do. Given the current state and size of the ssquad at Cappielow I'd say that two draws against those teams would be a fairly decent return from the first two games, and hopefully the squad will be stronger by the end of the window. . Remains to be seen whether we can manage to get that second draw though......
