You’re not answering the question. How many games for St Mirren / Hibs to win the same cup. St Mirren, Killie, Hearts, St Johnstone, and more. We aren’t going to win the Premier League. We have a shot at the two cups. I enjoyed a great day in 2013 as we won it. Killie fans have had great days in the cups, so have Hearts, and St Johnstone. The League Cup group stages are being played mid-July, they have become pre-season exercises, some teams have to negotiate twice as many games as others to win one of our ‘treble’ competitions. They have put in bonus penalty kick shootouts.

In my opinion, as this is an open forum and all that, they have devalued the competition, and I think it’s a shame as for many clubs outwith a certain two (certainly for over 25 years now), those two cup competitions are our shot.

I put it to you, that you are an annoying fud.

I don't agree on the tourney bit.

You might have a point on the fuddism.

Inviting Northern Irish, Welsh, and Colt sides into the Diddy Cup.

The League Cup group stages being played mid-July and becoming effectively pre-season warm ups, in one of our two major cup competitions that form our treble. A competition that offers many clubs, like my own, one of their two shots at glory, and unlike the bigot brothers, also gives us lifetime memories of the day we saw our club lift a trophy that mattered.

If there’s anything more tinpot than the way the barstewards who run our game have fcuked around with these two competitions, then I haven’t seen it... the caveat being, if Stubbs doesn’t bring in at least another four signings of decent standard, then his summer signing policy ahead of a first season back at the top table could grab the tinpot title.

    I like those changes.

    What's wrong with them?

Agree with the sentiment, but we're heading for a Sigma Olomuc type hiding in a week's time with this squad.

We've also got 4 league games before the end of the transfer window. It would be nice to have more than 1 point from these games.

I trust though that McInnes has something substantial up his sleeve.....I mean substantial, not a loan signing from Charlton or a 19 year old Blackpool reserve player.

We would need to play someone less good to get a Sigma olomuc type hiding.

    The upcoming one is expected.

This is pretty amazing. He repeats some things that are known to be false, and which he himself must surely know to be false; and he pretty much beatifies himself for all of his past, present and future behaviour.

It's sort of banter, but I do wonder if he's no longer simply being a GASL. Maybe he's started to believe his own version of history and reality, in honour of Trump's visit.

Still, at least the courts consistently bring him back to earth with a bump.

I think more chairmen should use the club media to air their personal greivances. It's very entertaining.

ps: well done to whoever cliped to tbe takeover panel.

McInnes is perhaps looking for a striker who can score goals and contribute to the team beyond that - if anything I reckon he should’ve done this before now.

A goalscorer is a very rare commodity.  I think our last proper finisher was Stavrum. Trying to find one at our level is quite tricky.

Trying to find someone who can regularly get 20 a season and play a bit is even trickier.

I'm sure it's occurred to management that such a player would be a good thing. Trying to find, sign and pay that player is a bit harder.

If there is anywhere on the park that all round ability is inessential, it's up front.
