They are actually trying to pretend it wasn’t originally going to be banned until they saw the reaction

The polls I can see show independence became more popular when Nicola was seen to be “handling the pandemic better” in the early days but have since been on a fairly rapid decline. It seems obvious to me that maintaining restrictions going forward is not going to win the votes of the more sceptical.

The thing is though, it seems the days of floating independence voters being attracted by more restrictions are long gone.

You have to question why we have more measures than any other ground and appear to be more strict in enforcing them.

Unfortunately it is starting to seem like the only way out of mask mandates is most other countries removing them and the SG having no option but to follow.

Watched a bit of their briefing and it was like being transported back to March 2020.

But how long will they remain? Will we get a criteria for dropping all mandatory mask laws?

To me, offered means has already had an appointment by the deadline, not has received a letter for an appointment beyond the deadline.

Have spoken to 3 people who didn’t go to the football on Thursday due to testing and mask requirements. I don’t agree with the SNP when they say there is no economic cost to mandatory masks.

Quite a lot of folk did but others were pulling it below their nose when he wasn’t looking or taking it off to shout.

There was a steward walking up and down the stairs in our section at pittodrie saying “mask up” to anyone with it below their nose and “mask on or you will have to go” to anyone not wearing one.

Yes, I don’t agree with most of the measures and it feels like something which would have been required last year to attend a game. No point complaining too much about it though. We have decided to give it a go and if we don’t enjoy it, we will just revert to watching via a stream.

I have been against them being mandatory from day one but the SNP are obsessed with them.

I expect masks to remain mandatory beyond even 9th August. Watched a bit of Javid yesterday and every SNP question I saw was demanding mandatory masks.

I thought Nicola said yesterday England were the outlier.

My prediction is that cases will level off and then decline in England when restrictions end due to the Euros finishing and school holidays but could be wrong.

Also says masks will be required at all times at Easter Road. Think I will continue to watch via a stream if that is the case at grounds.

Is it just me or has Nicola been unusually quiet since the details of England’s plans started to leak out

Hilarious the possibility of reduced crowds for the start of the season is being treated as “exciting” news. Meanwhile more and more countries talking about getting their grounds fully open.

First dose of Moderna received this morning.

Only a couple of months ago, she was saying we need to attempt to eliminate Covid from Scotland and the vaccines would do more of the heavy lifting as time goes on. Yesterday she suggested such a policy might be binned and Covid would be allowed to circulate as long as ICU admissions remain low. Quite a difference imo.

The number of first doses has been low the last couple of days. Is there a data problem?
