  1. Give or take a few teams regressing to the mean, the pots for the Euro qualifiers could look a bit more unusual than normal this time around. Some of the teams will have never been in as high a pot before or at least very rarely. Pot 1: Austria, Hungary stick out currently. Maybe one of them will hang on to pot 1. Pot 2: Could end up with a 40/60 split of good/relatively average teams. Pot 3: Pot 3 could have a massive difference between the top and bottom of the pot. Pot 4-6. Fairly similar to what you'd normally expect. One League B team will fall to pot 4. Kosovo and Luxembourg continuing their rise. The best league D teams gets a play-off spot if 13+ teams in any league (i.e. League A) qualify automatically. I also wonder what will happen with the Iceland, Israel & Albania group. They're at a significant disadvantage with two less games to gain points relative to the other League B teams for the play-offs. Normally they'd remove the points of the bottom team in the group for everyone else but i don't see any mention of that this time around.
  2. R.Ireland still yet to win a NL game. They've played Wales (x4), Bulgaria (x2), Denmark.(x2), Finland.(x2) and Armenia.(x1).
  3. https://norway.postsen.com/sports/8268/%E2%80%93-Does-not-look-good.html Kinda interested to see what the punishment is for a keeper moving the goalposts. From watching a video of him moving them it's obviously intentional and not a ritual. He waits till after the linesman checks the net.
  4. Earlier on the forecast said there was supposed to be rain around 4-5pm as well. This delay could bring that into play.
  5. The market pool income changes depending on how many Scottish teams are in that specific competition (and how many games they play in that competition). Guesstimating based on Swiss Rambles estimates for last season: Conference League >> 2.94 (entry fee) + 0.178 (coefficient) +0.5 (3pts in group) + 0.52 (estimated TV Pool) = €4.138m Europa League >> 3.63 (entry fee) + 0.132 (coefficient) + 0.21 (1pt in group) + 3.0 or 1.325 (estimated TV pool if Rangers in CL or EL) = €6.972m or €5.297m
  6. Maybe you're right. Ferrari seemed to post better times this morning in the long runs on the soft tyres. Less drop off anyway.
  7. Judging from the race simulations in FP2 everyone will be a mile behind Red Bull. Maybe Leclerc will take pole and cause some problems for Verstappen but if they can't get their tyre issues sorted it'll all be for nothing. Mercedes look better but it's a new engine with, supposedly, a relatively high engine mode for practice. Maybe they can get in and around Sainz but I don't see them challenging at the top for a while yet.
  8. It's a very odd setup from UEFA. I think it's an attempt to guarantee more league and cup winners reaching the GS. It'll look even more extreme if/when some seeds lose in CL q2. The playoff draw will be done before the EL 3rd round takes place so for Hearts its possible one extreme could be Dynamo Kiev/Fenerbahce and the other TNS/Shamrock Rovers.
  9. It wouldn't change anything for the Scottish teams.
  10. This is confirmed on the official UEFA access list. Rangers into q3.

Could have been better. Could have been worse. At least the second half of S4 was better than the first.
  12. Must have been the highlights. The game in France was only shown live on sky.
  13. I remember watching the Belgium away game from the same group on channel 5. Wiki says the away leg of the Euro 2004 play-off against Netherlands was on channel 5 as well. Our stunning victory in the 2006 Kirin Cup was on the BBC IIRC.
  14. Apathy and ignorance doesn't seem to add up. Several other votes held around that time in Crimea got very large turnouts. The independence referendum alone was low.
  15. I've never understood why Crimea voted to join Ukraine in the first place. Early 1991 Crimea votes to become an autonomous SSR with a 94% yes vote and 81% turnout. Late 1991 the Crimean ASSR votes to become a part of Ukraine in the independence referendum with 54% yes vote and 60% turnout. Why did so many people not vote? Was there a general boycott or something? Seems a bit crazy considering the importance of the occasion. Other regions like Donetsk, Kharkov, Luhansk and Odessa had relatively low turnout as well.
  16. The 1420 channel quoted above have said the Rosgvardia are patrolling the shops and universitys where they normally do interviews. Students who have previously done interviews are being called into the uni's head office and told not to participate in them anymore. Ah well. This was expected I guess. I did like having the chance to listen to some average Russian city folk talk politics. Hopefully they can keep the channel going but presumably it'll be pretty difficult from now on.
  17. Taking the €12.16m and using Swiss Ramble/UEFA figures to estimate the rest, Rangers earned around €15m so far (from UEFA). Rangers entering the CL through 2nd place in the league and finishing 4th (3pts) in a CL group is worth around €23-25m (lower than a few years ago due to the changes in revenue distribution). Celtic would earn roughly €29-31m if both OF clubs were in the groups (more than Rangers due to higher 10y coefficient). €32-34m if alone.
  18. I don't think we could call Barnes up just now even if both sides wanted it. I think 3 years need to pass since a players last appearance for their first national team before they can ask to change. From what I can see the only reason he can play for us at all is due to an amnesty rule for the years surrounding the rule the change. He played for England u21 in an official competition aged=> 21 and therefore wouldn't have been eligible to play for us at all without it.
