  1. Going by Sportscene, Motherwell should have had a penalty for the challenge by Snodgrass on Van Veen. At the time I thought it was a fair challenge but is that not the sort of thing VAR was brought in for?
  2. Were you at either of your two recent games against Motherwell? I know we won one of them but there wasn't much silky football on display in either game.
  3. I've just seen Vassell's sending off. Looked pretty harsh to me and I'd expect Killie to appeal so he might be available after all.
  4. Sportsound's idea of balance is to have Bonner also covering the match!
  5. I preferred when we avoided relegation by finishing 2nd or 3rd.
  6. Not at all, I'm old enough to have seen Narey play. Someone said the only person he should have passed to was Narey, someone else said he passed to Mulgrew because he's a coach and gave the number of caps he has along with his experience. Just pointing out the anomaly between the players and the number of caps considering the relative standard. I also said I understand the reasons why Mulgrew has more caps. Anyway, too early in the evening for the pritt sticks!
  7. I know the reasons (and haven't seen the goal yet) but Mulgrew has won a good few more caps than Narey. Make of that what you will but the number of caps was given earlier as one of the reasons for following Mulgrew's orders.
  8. Killie and County both got players sent off today. Going by the radio the County player's challenge was horrendous so he might get a two match ban. Do Killie have any other centre forwards with Vassell now being suspended?
  9. You've probably got a point but you get a completely different reaction watching the game at home to actually being there for a last minute winner. Anyway, results went our way today. Hopefully that will continue like last season when no-one seemed to take that top six spot off us despite us being unable to win a game after New Year.
  10. I'm not expecting much against Hearts because, let's face it, other than the goals both teams were dreadful on Wednesday. Fair enough, we took a conscious decision to go 'back to basics' but we would need a lot more than that to get something off Hearts. And we've still got an injury list which sees us with one fit centre half.
  11. Got to give you a greenie after my comments above. Anyway, a Juice Tygrr isn't the best of the double hopped IDA'S, a bit lacking in taste.
  12. Completely agree, all decent and can't complain about rounding off the evening with a Dark Island. Lovely beer although I had one of my rare beer aggressive moments on it. Anyway Cold Hand IPA from Dark Revolution Brewing is described as crisp, dry, fruity. Have to agree with that and I'd enjoy a pint of this if I got it in a pub.
  13. There would just be something wrong about a club trying to take Martindale away from Livi. Unless it's a big move I don't see why he'd leave for a bit more money but might only be there for a year if things don't go so well.
  14. High Wire Mandarin - mandarin & orange blossom pale ale. Slightly sour mandarin taste but fairly insipid I'm afraid.
  15. How does that compare with us beating a Uruguay/Argentina select two years before they contested the first World Cup final?
  16. I'd prefer Tony Macaroni to John Hughes. I'd even prefer Mr. Street Lighting to John Hughes.
  17. Remember that Stevie Woods is seen as a top goalkeeping coach. Going by that, Samson should be outstanding.
  18. I have might have to do similar soon and also have that game, the play-offs and any number of run of the mill games (I don't keep defeats). I know you can get most of these on the SPFL YouTube channel but there's something different about seeing the interviews and post-match discussion (the guy on BBC after the play-off at Ibrox who was nearly in tears being a particular highlight). Might have to say goodbye to them unless it's possible to record them onto a DVD recorder - any ideas?
  19. To be honest, he was pretty much a late panic signing. We'd signed Mandron who had a short sub appearance then scored two against Arbroath before getting injured in training. The assumption is he's not due to be playing any time soon so we needed another body in. Time will tell but Obika was well off the pace on Saturday (he was far from alone in that respect).
  20. Fair enough supporting your pal, at least Bevis wasn't daft enough to wear another team's scarf.
  21. Because there was a discussion whether the players were considered Motherwell rejects/let go.
  22. Careful now. You'll have the Falkirk fans all over this thread with statements like that.
  23. Now you mention it.... Nah, beaten fair and square. Good luck at Ibrox.
  24. I didn't think there was much between the teams in the recent game at Paisley but Saints got the goal. Unfortunately, since then our performances have plummeted and I have no idea what sort of reaction we'll get out the players. Hopefully we can get a defender fit so we can try Butcher in midfield.
