  1. Correct 100% Then the people who can't see this are convinced we created real chances and played well due to our inflated stats.
  2. Whens the last time you got a bite mate? That comes off a bit desperate, your reaching for it.
  3. Yeah have to agree, of course its not ridiculous you could tell someone would be world class after a few games. Or even one, sometimes its just blindingly obvious. I've done it and got it right loads of times. And I dont consider myself to be some expert talent spotter. The people arguing you can't do it maybe just don't understand football.
  4. If we go into the world Cup qualifiers with O'donnell at right wing back we will get stuffed. Teams will just have to watch the recent games to see how bad he was. He was great against England on the back foot the whole game. But the other 2 games. He was so poor, ask him to take possession and he's miles out of his depth. Really has to be Patterson or Tierney out there.
  5. You will definitely find that most of those players played a long time ago. And 2 of your greatest centre backs are known predominantly as midfielders, who played sweeper later in their careers. Football has changed, and there really isn't many small centre backs at all now. Certainly at the top level.
  6. With top players its obvious very quickly, you don't have to have seen much at all of gilmour to see he has the brain and technique to get to the very very top. Its not like you have to watch a full season to see that. Have you never watched a player and instantly went, yeah this guys one of the best? Like first time you watched messi? Or Ronaldo? Did you think ill need to watch a couple of seasons to see if their any good. Obviously I'm not calling gilmour a messi or a Ronaldo. He's a very different player. But his talent is obvious. Only thing that will stop him is injury really.
  7. Absolute revisionist rubbish, Czechs were getting nothing till the Dutch had a man sent off. And Croatia were played off the park by Spain. Also were either Spain or the Dutch at home? No, didn't think so. Im wondering how the Sweden Ukraine result will next prove somehow that Steve Clarke doing a great job.
  8. By watching the games and thinking different things than you
  9. Perhaps in your view they were. How you getting on with your promise of rewatching the Croatia game and telling us what changes Clarke made to change the game?
  10. This is what I'm saying man, yes there's been some good games. Yes we look organised and defend and press well for long periods. But were not beating teams we should enough. And were never beating teams we could. I hope im completely wrong and we go out and play brilliantly away to Denmark and Austria and win one and draw one. And ill be the first to hold up my hands and admit I got it wrong. But I just can't see it at all.
  11. What i meant by that was that we were the better team. I didn't think it was hard to work that out, but here we are.
  12. Of course it is, i couldn't be bothered arguing it. Your on your own pitch in the surrounding your used to so will obviously feel more at home. The fans being there will have added to this obvious advantage.
  13. If she had baws she would most likely have lead a completely different life and you may not exist. Unless you mean she went she was to now start the process of gender reassignment. In which case she could become your grandad. And good luck to her if she decides to do so.
  14. Its not really, your trying to say because the Czechs won today it proves their miles better than us. They were the second best team until the sending off, and if the Dutch would have been at home I doubt they would have lost. I'd say the logic that they beat a 10 man team on a neutral ground proves something is harder to follow.
  15. No, its a genuine question. I dont believe that you want Clarke to stay on as manager because you are overly emotional. You just have a different, in my view incorrect opinion. For me to guess at what motivates this opinion would be ridiculous. Its is you who is getting personal
  16. Playing the Dutch team who we got the better of pre euros. Who are not at home like we were
  17. According to you its irrational to expect to take more than 0 points from 2 home games also. Is everyone who disagrees with you irrational and emotional? What a way to live
  18. I get thats an expression, but Clarke hasn't been in the job "over night" Again its about your interpretation of what's a rational expectation. To me its not irrational to expect to take more than points 0 at home against the Czechs and Croatia. Or the beat Austria at home. Or not to get football lesson from Israel once every couple of months.
  19. I get that, and I get the sfa are about as useless as its possible to imagine. But surely if it were to be the case that we were looking for a manager they would look abroad this time. Rather than lambert or Davies etc
  20. Incase anyone hasn't noticed, there are countries outside Scotland who produce managers also.
  21. Possibly to your expectations, but not everyones. I dont think were expected to lose at home against the Czechs at all. Its also not about building a team for the future, its a major tournament. If were looking at next time then that could be 23 years away, when all the current squad have retired. Its about performing as best as we can in the here and now, we never did that. Its not a training camp for managers and players.
  22. Yeah their experience counted when it mattered. I felt it wasn't necessarily a tacticle change we needed. We just needed the fresh legs. There was like for like swaps that may have given us the impetus to get back in the game again. I dont like the thought of us being in this type of position again and the manager just sitting for 30 mins wondering what to do.
