  1. Going by your profile picture i think you need to have a read of this thread and get your act together.
  2. Is "if that had been us..." the most common phrase in the OF vocabulary?
  3. Absolute belter of a post. What a c**t [emoji1]. FWIW I don’t care about anything Liverpool do or do not to.
  4. Which also has to change, there is a lot of soul searching going on down here at the moment regarding racism in the game & every incident is being called out quickly & rightly vilified across all forms of the Media. Now substitute the word racism for sectarianism, is the same thing happening in Scotland? There is. But they don't know what to do about it. England has the resource and quality of football to stamp that all out and continue to thrive. In the corridors of power here their concern is that without the 'edge' that comes with an OF game, Scottish football is of no more interest than English league two to the likes of sky. And that is the sad truth when the business model of the game is to finance it through TV companies run outwith Scotland.
  5. Able bodied folk at my work who get the lift up and down one floor all day everyday, especially as they are usually going to the canteen to get another snack.
  6. Like it or not, the ‘atmosphere’ they bring is used as a selling point when we market ourselves to the tv companies as a football novelty act.
  7. Indeed. The clubs, Police Scotland, and the SFA will have no choice but to take notice when there are thousands of 'bears' wreaking havoc in Aberdeen city centre!!!!
  8. Aberdeen's tickets are all scanned through machines at the turnstiles, I'd be very surprised if it didn't count who was coming through the door. Also, I'm pretty sure clubs are required to record actual attendances in any case are they not? Not necessarily to publish but I think the police record it.
  9. Gordon Smith is absolutely desperate for the adulation of the Rangers fans as it's all he has left. To be ignored at all times.
  10. Could just add bumper stickers in general to this thread.
  11. This article also doesn't seem to point out that actual attendees form a tiny fraction of what constitutes the 'most watched teams in the world'.
  12. Did we not go to rugby park last season after a semi final humbling and seem to remember similar chatter that people didn’t care if we got into Europe. Folk are just hurting, I’d bet most people very much want Europe. I certainly do.
  13. Seems like a bit of a false argument. You’ve both found ways that suit your own needs. So long as you don’t revert back to the bad ways as soon as the weight is lost, does it really matter? Everyone is different.
  14. The semi final thread correctly got locked because it descended into (even more of) a farce after that statement.
  15. Good for Killie but I'll never understand why this causes the stir it always seems to.
  16. That's sort of my point - Gleeson should have been good based on his pedigree, but we've barely seen him and he's hardly lit things up when he has played. Wilson is very talented, he shows flashes of it, but he shows more of why he's been booted out of most clubs he's been through. Stewart, there is some merit to the positional argument but that only goes so far. His attitude has appeared dreadful in a lot of games. I think Halford was only ever brought in as a last resort if we suffered even more injuries.
  17. Anyways, reflections following Sunday, but looking to the summer: - Do we have an issue with recruitment? Specifically, are we doing enough research into the players we're signing? The ability of most of our first XI signings this season I'd say is unquestionable but attitude/injury proneness has been a real issue in getting consistency of selection and performance. Have we gambled on players that ability wise are 'above' Aberdeen but are available for various reasons, hoping they'll come good at Pittodrie? Examples being Wilson, Stewart, Gleeson, Hoban (injuries) etc - Does the manager have the drive and passion to do the summer rebuild? I have no qualms with saying I'm still a big Mcinnes fan but if he is growing tired of the job or feels it's run its course in anyway he should go before it turns nasty. A lot of the support have unfairly made up their mind on him and it won't take too much next season for them to vote with their feet.
  18. I thought I might get accused of that. As I said, I'm not a massive fan by any means but I do enjoy the series and was fairly underwhelmed last night. Fair enough if there's a larger context to the dragons scene but it was pish and they clearly put a lot of time and effort into making it significant, including the little romance at the end of it.
  19. Horrible feeling, you almost have to forget where you think you 'should' be based on what you were at during your absence. Just find out where you are now and keep building day by day, you'll get it back quicker than you'd expect I imagine.
  20. Please don't bring the semi final thread in here because that thread got locked.
  21. I am by no means a massive GoT fan but I am committed to it now. Underwhelming is a generous description of episode 1 I would say. That scene with Jon on the dragons was cringey as f**k and thrown in for the virgin demographic of its fanbase, surely.
  22. We do our talking on the pitch! No, wait I take that back.
  23. Works well for me yeah. I spend about an hour on a Sunday making my lunch for the week so just make a decent batch of overnight oats at the same time so it’s ready to eat the next morning.
