There's a guy who is on my bus to work in the morning, every time I see him he pulls out a can of Tennent's on the bus (7.30am) on his way into work. Made me feel incredibly sad seeing it, I shouldn't presume to know anything about him and I've never felt the need to have a beer to get through the day but it just made me feel like the guy must be in a dark place to be doing that. I just wanted to chat to him and help, but of course I did f**k all. The only positive was I had been feeling like I couldn't be arsed going for a run tonight but seeing him reminded me why my exercise everyday was so important. I will be going for a run tonight.

Went to get my morning coffee at work (subsidised Costa), as with all Costa' you pay and then there's a counter where you collect your drink. Most civilised people stand a couple of yards away from the pick up counter to allow people to access their drink if they are called first. Today three guys decided they'd stand and wait for their drinks right at the collection counter and have a hilarious chat, with everyone having to push past them everytime their drink was called. Even with about 3 people asking them to move so they could get their drink they wouldn't take the hint.

It might not be a given but it is pretty common

I think Stewart himself acknowledges that he wasn’t fit enough and didn’t perform well enough to justify the central role ahead of Christie last season. This season he seems fit and on form so it may just be the perfect fit. Stewart still speaks very highly of his time with us. Still, I’d be surprised yet delighted if this happens.

At least willie is safe in the knowledge that he doesn’t have to care what the diddies think.
