  1. Great effort from the Hibbies. Nice to see two clubs stand so proudly in support of their communities. Meanwhile, in Glasgow..."let's scheme another £75 out of the mindless fucker's giro".
  2. The only disappointing thing about Tavernier being scudded is how lukewarm the pies are at Pittodrie.
  3. I've been in the city for an hour and i've already seen a zombie wearing a *** top, and a tim with a hat and scarf. Aberdeen used to be hostile to these cretins. What's next; will they be opening up shops? f**k sake lads...
  4. They started up again last year with 19, and continued with 20. Haven't played on other platforms, but it's perfectly playable. Enjoy a franchise mode myself. Appreciate the suggestion, will make a post.
  5. Appreciate all the replys. Can't justify sky though, we've got a 5 month old Dons fan, as well as Netflix and Prime. I suppose I'll stick with youtube atm, but try and vary up what I'm watching.
  6. I discovered Detectorists a few months ago. I've kept it almost hidden from my fiancee. I'm unbearably excited about xmas. I can then share this utter genius with them.
  7. Did a search, which was not fruitful, so I'm assuming there isn't a thread for this. Anyone play Madden? Anyone play Madden on PC? I've got to the point where I need to play humans to improve. All-Madden still beats me, but does it in annoying ways. I'd rather be humiliated by a sentient being. Perhaps I should see a psychologist.
  8. What's everyone's method of watching games? The BBC coverage is decent (certainly better than Sportscene), but the two shows are just played at awkward times, and I never find time to watch them. I decided I was a 49ers fan 4 years ago when I went to Wembley for the first time. This was confirmed two years ago when we went for a driving tour of LA, SF, and LV, and SF was by far my favourite city (apart from New York, but who the f**k can support teams in blue, white, and red, or green and white). Recently found NFL highlights are abundant on Youtube, along with player interviews (George Kittle's a legend). I watch the 49ers highlights, but generally miss the rest of the goings on. Anyone have a routine for watching?
  9. What an absolute minter letting these utter, utter diddies scrape a draw.
  10. f**k sake, let's get carried away... Level the entire Pittodrie area, and we fire up a 100,000 seater. Free flights for Atlanta Utd/Cardinals fans to come here, and free flights for us to go there (I'll still be a 49ers fan though). Ticket pricing relative to income. Stadium is filled every match. First option for NFL games with Wembley and Tottenham in a distant 2nd and 3rd. Cowboys cheerleaders in the Pittodrie Bar. Considine, jacked up on cattle steroids, continues to play for the next 20 years. After serving a year ban, and prison sentence, for accidentally decapitating Ryan Jack. The majority of Scottish football fans think Jack deserved it. Massive legal battle to declare the sale of Ibrox to Sevco illegal. We buy Ibrox, and use it to hold Irish and Scottish independence rallies. Maybe invite the Palestinians along. Shitting on the pitch is encouraged. I'm going to bed happy....
  11. Why stop there. Flatten every thing between Ardarroch Road and Golf Road, all the way from the cemetery to Pittodrie Place. f**k a 100,000 seater in there.
  12. It'd be lovely to remain at Pittodrie, but a board takeover doesn't take away the sheer difficulty in accomplishing the task. The only way I can think of is to convince the council (with generous donations) to permantently close Pittodrie St east of Merkland Lane, buy out the Bon Accord and Caledonian Golf Clubs (perhaps give them their own space in the new stadium), and rotate the whole thing 90°. It would be probably cheaper to move to Westhill.
  13. Big McKenna with an absolute text book example of the offside trap there. What a lad.
  14. All the diddies complaining about McKenna as if that's his fault...
  15. Probably a daft question; How was Ferguson in the second half? I watched the first half and he was used as the deep layer, breaking up the play. Thought he did the job admirably, but he's so much better with the leish off. Disappointed to see the final result after a solid first half. Were we particularly bad in the the second half?
  16. Jimmy, for all his faults (and there were many), managed to take a team that included Zander Diamond, Richard Foster, and Darren Mackie to the knockout rounds of the UEFA Cup.... Edit: And that year was one of the best I've had. Athens was a particular highlight. Syntagma Square underground was epic.
  17. I was being dramatic for the sake of it to be fair; by the point where Main scored Maldini would probably have taken the ball down and been up the pitch and popped the ball right on van Basten's right peg. The point remains though, for our level, it was an exceptional ball. Fully agree re. Clancy. The two penalty shouts were screamers.
  18. Just finished watching that back on RedTV; would have been there but got a clay pigeon lesson from the Mrs for a birthday present. Impressed with Main, I've been pretty critical of him in the past, but if he can build on that he has a future at Aberdeen imo. Lewis Ferguson was the stand-out for me though, that boy has a huge future. What a ball for the first goal. Findlay wouldn't have got that one...fucking Maldini wouldn't have got that one; absolutely exquisite.
  19. I mean that's factually correct, but must be understood in the context of O'Donnell being literally the worst first choice right back Scotland has had in living memory. Regardless, to support the argument that Calderwood was bad for our youth development, there is 1 (average) example. The fact is, our youth development has been pish poor, and our retention of the rare good ones has also been pish poor. Can't blame managers for not playing players that aren't good enough.
