  1. Checking Flight Radar to see what’s currently active c.5pm on Monday. (I know, it’s going to be a long week). There two planes up, both private jets, both out of Prestwick, with these - ummm - unconventional flight paths. Any ideas what they are up to? Looks like some sort of survey but they are too high and travelling too fast for anything meaningful. And PnBrs on Arran or the Kintyre peninsula shed any light?
  2. One for the diddy forums but Stirling Albion in the south league and Stenhousemuir (7/8 miles south of SA) in the north looks to have particular potential.
  3. Has anyone else found the midges to be a whole lot more aggressive and out much earlier this year? Too long a story for here but I’ve had to be walking the mutt mainly on grass the last week or so and, from the knees down, my legs are a absolute fiery itching mess with bites.
  4. A definite flattening of the curve. Interest is waning. I think in direct comparison to the now worldwide shortage of new nursey-pics...
  5. Ffs. The Kinc couldn’t make it more obvious that he was going fishing and yet within 15 mins he gets a bite. Never give up PnB. Never give up.
  6. Not paying your taxes is wrong. He’s right. You need to get some new material. It’s been and done. It’s a long way past tired.
  7. Ra sellik vote to confirm themselves as 9IAR winners and it’ll be forever known as ‘not really 9IAR’, notwithstanding the current points distance. OR Ra sellik reset the meter and start again. If I were a sensible sellik fan (obvs not!) I’d be all over that option. (I think).
  8. Just because each are at polar opposites of the political spectrum doesn’t make it non political. It just means both have made a rip roaring c**t of it. Dead easy to blame the Boris. Not so easy it seems to have the equivalent go at Saint Nic.
  9. The free access to FT.com has been a boon for well written thought out pieces. Think I might have to break my duck and actually pay a newspaper subscription once this is all over.
  10. Aye. Distribute the currently fashionable figure of 80% and retain 20% to keep spfl going and distribute that when the league is finally completed however that may be determined.
  11. The radio view seems to be that the spfl are saying they cannot pay prize money early as their Articles will not allow it while there are still games to be played. Loaning it I would suggest gets round that. I suspect spfl are shitting it - for some reason beyond my current comprehension - about consequent claims from Sky/Ladbrokes/someone else if the season is declared over when not all games have been fulfilled.
  12. Arrant nonsense. Turn on a radio or have a look at a website. There’s all sorts of accusations of skullduggery flying about just now and The Rangers reckon they’ve got evidence. Hence the statement.
  13. And I can’t really see the problem with the loan idea. An amount of money is due to clubs at the end of the season irrespective. Unless someone wants to correct me, I doubt anyone will be making a great charge of 3 or 4 places in any direction. Loan the money now and when the season does finish then there is an accounting for any over or underpayment based on final position. What am I missing?
  14. Thanks for that. Seems the most plausible tie up with the symptoms. And it was an Approved Used ex-demo so I’m hoping no one’s swapped the battery! Less than 3 years old so still under warranty. I expect the battery’s not covered but the starter should be. Only trick now is convincing the dealer...
  15. What about the fermers? Ah, okay I see what you mean.... Blind fermers?
  16. Ta. Tbf it is a cheapo Halfords effort of some vintage but taking the car for a run was exactly what I did as my first attempted fix, 45mins or so at fair speed but the following morning it was the same again. Mrs a-p (usually) does a 70 mile round commute to Edinburgh each day and the reluctant starting had been troubling her for a few weeks before the world ground to a halt.
  17. Wife has a fairly new diesel A1. Lately it’s been a wee bit temperamental on starting, like its struggling with a flat battery. Thought that with it now sitting about doing nothing I’d better put a trickle charger on it so if it was needed we could actually use it. But the charger says the battery is in good health and it’s not needing topped up. Any ideas?
  18. Have you tried blowing in his ear and tickling his baws?
  19. Ffs PnB. I thought this was a poorly spaced HIGNFY style missing word quiz my guess - Small Business Grant?
