Went to see The Big Sick last night -- a kind of autobiographical story of how Kumail Nanjiani (out of off of The Silicon Valley) met the woman who would become his wife, Emily Gordon. So he's Pakistani, she's white, his mother is trying to set him up with every single Pakistani woman in Chicago. He can't tell his mother about Emily, she freaks out about this, they split up and then she gets sick and ends up in a coma, and he ends up hanging out with her parents (Holly Hunter and Ray Romano) in the hospital. As romantic comedies go where the leading lady is asleep for three-quarters of the movie, it's pretty good, heart-felt stuff; funny when it needs to be. Ray Romano is surprisingly good and Kumail Nanjiani can do no wrong in my eyes. Recommended. 7/10

Jaime killing Cersei to become a Queenslayer would be a nice close to his arc. And then topping himself in an Shakespearean fashion.

If this season is going to be about the fight for the iron throne and then the final season about the final battle against the Night King and the White Walkers then I'd expect the body count to be pretty substantial in both. I think Cersei and Littlefinger might buy the farm this year. Jon Snow to die in the final episode.

Agreed. He'd have been as well winking at the fucking camera at that point. Other than that, so glad this show is back. As has been mentioned, particularly the opening and closing scenes were tremendous.

At the risk of causing the Cardi further confusion, turns out my 10 was for Tuesday, not Monday, as can be seen in the screenshot. My Monday score is a less impressive 6.
