  1. I can understand the negative comments about The House and if I'd been in anything other than a good mood when I saw it, I may well have agreed. It's stupid and dumb and I'm in no hurry to see it again but I laughed pretty much all the way through. File away with the likes of Meet the Millers and Central Intelligence.
  2. Apologies. I've been driving 2,000 miles over the last four days which was harem-scarem enough without trying to do trivia at the same time.
  3. Watching it back on iPlayer, I thought by connection must've dropped. But nope. Something was cut. Enjoyed watching the woman from the Economist (wid) tearing Fox a new one. But if we're letting on folk from The Canary, I expect to see in the fullness of time representation from The Evening Harold.
  4. Wouldn't have been surprised if I'd got 5. Wouldn't have been hugely surprised if I'd got 10. So 8/10 feels about right. Aussie and Cricket questions, obv.
  5. Agree. Was disappointed with the 18 but the 21 was incredible,
  6. Baby Driver -- 9/10. Cracking stuff from Edgar Wright. The opening sequence alone was worth the admission price. Brilliantly choreographed and never misses a beat. Cool as f**k.
  7. BBC Five Live have had a bash at a Serial-esque true crime podcast called Beyond Reasonable Doubt. This collection is about a guy who may or may not have killed his wife Hard to put my finger on why it doesn't really work, but Chris Warburton's bland presentation doesn't help and for the first few episodes I wasn't sure if it was real or if it was acted out. Ira Glass presumably not losing any sleep over this.
  8. Heading back to Connecticut this weekend for a family wedding. Hoping we'll have time on Sunday to nip into The Bronx for the Dale Chihuly exhibition that's on at the Botanical Gardens. Cannae beat a bit of fancy glass sculptures. https://www.nybg.org/event/chihuly/
  9. The only thing I can remember about this movie is the wee blonde thing with tits to spare.
  10. Brilliant season finale. And there's a lovely bit towards the end where they have Jimmy lit where half his face is light, half is in shadow and the metaphor of Jimmy/Saul couldn't be clearer. Can't wait for S4. Ten episode season drama is the way to go but it leaves too much time between seasons.
  11. Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates -- 5/10. Look, it's rubbish. But it's watchable rubbish. And a couple of times, either intentionally or not, it made me laugh. (HBO)
  12. I found that hugely difficult and uncomfortable to watch. Throughout BCS and this slow transition from Jimmy to Saul, it's been easy to be on Jimmy's side despite how he employs his means to an end. But poor Irene! And he had so many chances to do the right thing through that and chose not to. RIP Jimmy. Long live Saul Goodman, I guess.
  13. It's shown on AMC in the US on a Monday night, so it would make sense that it's on Netflix the next day.
  14. 8/10 goes a little way to appease the board after yesterday's fiasco. Guessed pretty well but disappointed to get the maths one wrong.
