  1. Howard and the PI were there to witness what happened when Jimmy broke in, which is going to limit what Jimmy can say. I imagine you're right about Chuck being humiliated, though. Interestingly, the last three episodes of this season are called Slip, Fall, and Lantern.
  2. Thank f**k Paul Nuttall is back on, after 34 days in the Question Time wilderness. Was starting to think some harm had come to him. Think. Pray. Same thing.
  3. I strained a muscle in my neck / right shoulder at the weekend from simply looking behind me. Wasn't all that sore at the time but had upgraded itself to fucking gowping by the next morning and restricted my movement so much that I couldn't wipe my arse with my tissued right hand and was forced to swap to the left. Thankfully, it's all back to normal now but all I can say is, no wonder these muslims are so angry all the time if they have to use their left hand to wipe their arses every day.
  4. Agreed. Last night's was excellent again and hopefully next week we'll see the fruition of Kim and Jimmy's plan against Chuck. Meanwhile, the cartel stuff is bubbling away nicely. Love. This. Show.
  5. 8/10. Expected 6. Music and (predictably) New Zealand guesses wrong, Chemistry and Herbie Mann guesses far more agreeable.
  6. Here be spoilers. The improbability of the Leonard and Penny relationship continues unabated this week. She bumps into the horrendously underused Zack, who seemingly is now engaged, and they arrange for the four to meet up for dinner, to which the new fiancee doesn't show up. As convoluted a plot point as this is, it does allow Zack to offer Penny a job as head of sales for his dad's menu business. And so begins fifteen minutes or so of Leonard and Penny bickering over whether she should work for her ex. Bearing in mind that there's no official offer on the table, they haven't discussed pay or anything, it's perhaps surprising how much of the decision-making comes down to petty jealously. In the end, Penny accepts the job but it no longer exists because Zack's girlfriend doesn't want him working with his ex. Do you see what they did there? They kept the girlfriend away from dinner so she could object in private. Marvellous. I have to say, the most fun I get from watching this these days is from working out why it doesn't work.
  7. At the recommendation of @the_bully_wee, Perks of Being a Wallflower - 9/10. On the back of Thirteen Reasons Why, I absolutely loved this look at mental illness and isolation and love and longing. Ezra Miller is amazing -- can't believe he's still only 24. And well done, Emma Watson, for doing something other than a plummy English accent. But Logan Lerman is faultless in the troubled lead. Loses one point for the conceit that no one has ever heard of Heroes by David Bowie.
  8. 9/10. Ooft, Went for the wrong fifty/ fifty on the cathedral. Got lucky on ANZ Championship (whatever that is) and the NRL, knew the rest. Too little, too late, I fear.
  9. 8/10 -- Better luck today. Skiing and hippies let me down but guessed three others correctly so I won't complain.
  10. I just love this series more and more. Fantastic stuff. Another great episode. S3 has been awesome so far.
  11. As bad as Sportsound is, it's still better than Superscoreboard.
  12. 8/10 -- Connected wifey and usual Aussie cricket pish spoiling an otherwise satisfactory combination of knowing and guessing.
  13. Typical controversy for controversy's sake from Boyd IMO.
  14. About a month ago, I enjoyed a triple bill of Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles and High Anxiety. They never get old.
  15. I laughed at Amy singing Soft Kitty in German and Mandarin. I've never felt so lowest common denominator.
