  1. Yes, his googling efforts were definitely worthy of a Pulitzer, and his reaction to the pop-up worthy of an Emmy. Still, it's nice to see it back on its ridiculous tracks after a couple of dull episodes.
  2. It was my company's Employee Meeting day today where we all get together so the high-heid yins can talk about last year's numbers and goals for 2017 etc. Generally quite dull stuff until the last half hour and they pull out the special guest speaker: Wayne Gretzky. Wayne Fucking Gretzky. Still kinda buzzing from that.
  3. Brilliant. Renewed for three more seasons!
  4. 8/10. Guessed the Australian woman right, the Australian man wrong, Had a fifty / fifty stab at the war and went for the wrong fifty. Can I just say how much I hate back to back Australian questions.

Then there's: Godzilla -- Mecha-Streisand Great Expectations -- Pip Children of the Corn -- Wacky Molestation Adventure

Asspen would be Ski School. Or Ski School 2. Possibly both.

Let's see ... Avatar -- Dances With Smurfs The Shining -- A Nightmare of Face Time Heavy Metal -- Major Boobage Cloverfield -- The Startling double header I'm sure there were plenty in the early seasons ... the Damien episode being The Omen, f'rinstance.
  8. T2 Trainspotting -- 6/10 Enjoyed it well enough, just felt a little pointless. Like having Diane in one scene ... why bother? Loved the reason why Spud was an hour late for everything, got a bit homesick with the motorway sign for Stirling, and the Proddy sing-song stuff and Begbie firing back the Viagras had me chuckling. Quick question for others on here who've seen it ... in the version you saw, was there weird partial subtitles during the first five minutes, like they were providing a key for the accents?

It's the fact that he spins round that transforms that from funny to genius.
  10. TBH, I can't really remember much about V other than the street fight at the end. Got it on now so we'll see how it goes. (Rocky currently shivering unconvincingly ... you may have a point). Pleased to say, I've never watched a F&F movie in my puff.
  11. Too kind to IV, too harsh on V, but otherwise spot on with the scores. Going to have to watch them all again now.
  12. 6/10 -- Will it be enough? Worst score of the week but some kind questions in there for me. Ashamed to say I could've strengthened my position by not overthinking the ammonia question and one correct guess from Cricket, ideology or Carmen would've put it beyond doubt. Oh, well. Bum, start squeaking.
  13. 8/10. Both Aussie questions wrong. Again. Just the one correct guess -- thanks for that, Geena Davis. And at the back of my mind, I'm sure I'm overdue a 2 or 3/10 in the not too distant.
  14. Having been shot a week or so ago is clearly affecting her judgment, if not the distance she can walk.
  15. 8/10 to finish the week. Nice to know some answers for a change, and if Lady Luck wasn't entirely smiling at me as such, she at least was ambivalent enough to grant me some success when it came to smashing Australian dads. She deserted me entirely for the February uprising and Aussie island. Cow.
  16. Apologies for the late return. 4/10 for Thursday. Knew 4, and managed to defeat probability by failing to guess one out of the remaining six.
  17. 6/10 -- would've been worse if it hadn't been if I hadn't spent some time a few months ago listening to the Rolling Stone 500 Greatest Albums Ever Made, one of which was by Stan Getz. Also, guessing.
