We've been hyping this deal up as a joke for about a month now, crazy it's happened. Hopkin's been after him for two years apparently. We've really been lacking a finisher all season and that's what's held us back from claiming more points. The signings we've made are giving us a really good shot at the playoffs whereas we started the season aiming to stay up

And for Hopkin's next trick Gallagher's full potential will finally be realised in a Pirlo-Busqets type holding midfield role going on to assist 30 goals in the second half of the season and crunching every opposition forward (baseball bat pending)

Jeez, Thompson has played once for us, off the bench. He looked pretty tidy out left up and down the wing. He's definitely got good control of the ball and a good eye for a pass but couldn't see everything in a 30 minute sub spell

I mean, I'm sure you'd take 'Rangers Rejects' Halkett and Alexander If he can score goals and finish chances (much the same thing) that's all I'm bothered about, we've lacked a finisher and probably held us back from a good few points this season despite sitting 4th atm

Depends, might let him go without asking for anything to further his career. They did the same with Halkett. We had him on loan and they just cancelled his contract, was only natural for him to sign on with us. Could possibly take a sell on fee like Motherwell just did with McMillan though
