As much as I like Shinnie, and his value to us is immeasurable over the course of a season, I do think that sometimes in these bigger games he can be too over exuberant, often resulting in him getting booked early and hindering his and our control of a game. I would rather have him in the squad than not but if Ramadani, Clarkson and Duncan along with McCrorie, Hayes and Duk continue their fine work as a pressing defence then hopefully his loss won't be felt as much like in the Rangers game

2014

Last time we had a must win game against County at home was one of our many "Only need one win to get top six" games last season before surrendering to a limp 0-1 defeat. Both teams much changed since then mind. Jim bizarrely went for a jolly with the fans before the game at the Beach Ballroom that day. Don't suppose there was any appetite for that now.

At the beginning of the season I thought we'd be looking at finishing around 6th/7th. This was based on the unknown element of the new signings and weaknesses in defence and CM. I feel we were very fortunate to be 3rd at the break and our form this season certainly points to a middle of the league team at this point. It's going the same as with Glass in terms of that we look like conceding two goals every game. Although now we have enough in attack where we can score as well. RB and arguably two CBs urgently required. I'm still not keen on Roos but it's hard to say whether Lewis would have a better time of it with this defence either

I actually laughed when the winner went in because you could see it coming as soon as the equaliser went in. Having been there at the Motherwell home game earlier in the season, I've seen first hand this circus of a defence we have. Buck stops with Goodwin. He signed the players and he deployed those shitebag tactics. Embarrassing and cowardly and I can't see him coming back now with a support that was already at best indifferent towards him

I'm actually furious with Goodwin with those subs at 65 mins. Has completely handed the ascendency to Rangers in a match we've mostly dominated. Now we're defending in our box hoping we don't get punished again like at the weekend

Don't think I've enjoyed watching an Aberdeen player as I do with Duk in a long time. Really just need to enjoy him while he's here
