  1. Aye he's gone from announcing the teams to the fans with us to announcing the fans to the teams at queen's park.
  2. Fans hopes are everchanging dependant on various factors. After the sheerin Rennie debacle I remember most of us on here just looking to get a team back on the park that we could be proud of with playoffs seen as a decent achievement considering how bad we were the season before. That then changed to pretty close to 50/50 mcglynn stay/go after the Airdrie game. I always felt giving him the benefit of the doubt was the better choice as we'd been down the chopping and changing route for too long and there was at least progress to build on despite the Airdrie disaster. Thankfully patience has given us the reward of one of the best seasons in a long time and hopefully more to come.
  3. Let's face it with crowds of only 700 odd Hamilton are basically in the league they should be in currently. Anything else is then punching above their weight like Arbroath.
  4. They certainly must be. When you look at the signings they made in the summer they certainly must've outbid a decent number of sides for the likes of Hamilton , dabrowski and mullin. Likes of Byrne, Rudden and Ashcroft's wages won't be peanuts either. They are going all in for getting up this season. Crowds have been better but despite having 6000 and 7000 plus against United and 5500 plus against Dunfermline they are still averaging less than us.
  5. Meanwhile upon hearing the news a crowd gathers outside the CEOs office at New Douglas Park.
  6. Yeah Alfie is a work in progress. First full season of full time football he like Ross has been a bit unlucky in that Morrison and miller have been so good and nesbitt has upped his game. Still raw but I still think he could turn into a top player still.
  7. In thought hendo looked a bit leggy yesterday. Would perhaps give Tait a.game instead of him to give him a break.
  8. Let's face it Ross would be starting for every other side in our league and the majority of the championship too. He's just unlucky that miller and Morrison have been on top form since he came in. Hopefully he will get a bit of game time between now and may to show what he can do properly.
  9. Mcglynn didn't seem to think it was offside anyway in his post match interview and I'd expect him to have seen footage that would clear that up so I'm beginning to think the officials got that one right . That was about the only thing they did get right mind you.
  10. He could definitely feel something after running just in front of us. He winced and then started trying to stretch it and signalled to the bench that he'd see how it went. Might just be cramp though having not played a full game for some time. I would think even Rankin would've kept him on otherwise.
  11. We've only lost 1 out of 5 against championship opposition this season and pumped united 4 2 at our patch. None of those 4 sides looked anything special.
  12. That was because we stuck our second string out first half . You don't have that excuse
  13. I don't think we can blame the keeper for either goal and he made did make one or two big saves. The one with his feet early doors was very important as if they'd scored then who knows what might have happened. Couple of poor clearances but also some excellent ones that put pressure on their two centrebacks.
  14. I couldn't see if it was 8 or 18. He's on the premiership list that boy we had today . Usually they are better than the normal dumplings but he was rotten
  15. How we didn't finish that game off a lot earlier was beyond me. Nesbitt should've scored after great work by the fantastic MacIvor and then who was that that put it wide when it looked easier to score? Was it Oliver. Meant we had a nervy last half hour. Thought John could perhaps have made the sub a bit earlier with Tait as hendo didn't have his best game and looked a bit leggy throughout. Rose I thought was a real handful for them so I was glad to see him go off early with a calf problem it looked. 3 points was the main thing though and we have now got one hand on that trophy surely.
  16. Were three up and cruising but lost a silly goal trying to play offside which keeps accies interested unfortunately. Rankine seems to have tweaked his formation going to one up top with O'hara out left which has given them a bit more of a foothold in the game although was going to be difficult for us to keep our early pace up. Important we keep it tight second half and don't lose any early goals.
  17. Jesus Raith are a tough watch. Was expecting a decent game of football in this top of the table clash but raiths only tactic seems to be to hoof the ball from one end to the other. Their midfielders will have sore necks after this one. Very poor.
  18. Watching the top of the table championship clash. Christ Raith are a hard watch. Just seem to continually lump the ball up the park playing very little football for a side challenging for the title.
  19. Read an article earlier that says that clubs now need to hold an sfa bronze level accreditation to play in the top 4 leagues. The highland league clubs are kicking off about it as they think it's an attempt to prevent clubs from the 5th tiers getting up. However, I noticed that two of the clubs that don't have this accredition currently are covered and Airdrie who along with Edinburgh city, kelty and Peterhead have been given an exemption till the beginning of next season. Would be hilarious if Airdrie got bumped out due to failing to meet this standard.
  20. Will be a difficult game. It's last chance saloon time for accies who must think they need 3 points minimum from this game to keep the title alive. A win for us and it's all but over and a draw means we are still very much in the driving seat. The Annan defeat is bound to have given accies confidence a dent so it's up to us to make sure we play to our best to get the win and one hand on the league one title
  21. If true that's horrendous . They had double against cove. How can you lose half your support after 2 wins.
  22. BBC have the crowd as 759 but surely that's a balls up.
  23. I never sat watching football before thinking see what would make a huge difference is if you give these centrehalfs that aren't really that great on the ball the ability to go into the box and take the ball off the goalkeeper then piss about playing it across the back instead of simply just getting a pass at the edge of the box if they want. All it does for me is cause problems at the back and we've seen it on a number of occasions ourselves this season.
