Where I agree that the product on the pitch can attribute to the higher attendances, the fact that the new board has brought the club and fans together and has brought an unbelievable feel good factor back to The Rovers is probably the highest factor of the increase in support. No-one knew how we'd play at the beginning of the season and our first home game of the season (against Morton which achieved an average of around 1500 last season) had a crowd of 3,000. If the performances dwindle, then the crowd may go along with it, but I think the way that the board are going about this season and re-connecting with fans will mean that, in my opinion, it won't be as dramatic as some people may think. -

Byrne has been one of, if not the best player this season so far. I got pelters for saying it the other week so glad that people can agree with me. Boys an absolute warrior -

Didn’t say anything about work rate. He doesn’t offer anything different from Millen. Can’t beat a man, can’t run in behind, all he has is a final ball which Millen already has and as we don’t have another RB, surely better having a winger that offers something different from our full back on the same side? The amount of times both took up the same position waiting for one or the other to put a cross in was wild. Have a winger who can run in behind or can beat a man to offer something different. I personally don’t see what Mullin has offered to our team so far other than a decent ball into the box. -

He missed about 3 sitters.. think the service is just fine. theres no one that can convince me Murray was right with starting McGill. Even if he had a blinder against the pars, play people who are natural in their positions. Gullan offers us nothing. Would much rather have kept Mitchell. Honestly think you drop Mullen for someone. His delivery is good but he offers nothing outwith that. You have millen and Mullen who have just as good delivery as each other, so there’s no need to have both on the same flank offering the same thing as neither can get in behind or beat a man. I said when we appointed Murray I really hope we don’t get in to the ‘well score more than you’ mentality he seemed to have at airdrie, howeve we seem to have got to that place. Would much rather be solid and shitfest a 1-0, like we did at east end, than concede 2 shite goals and have to score 2 late ones against 10 men. we have the capability to push united to the title, but with Dabrowski in goals, we absolutely have no chance. He will lose us more points than he’ll save us. Fair play to QP, their keeper was unreal and a massive prospect for the future, can’t imagine he’ll be long at QP. Also commend them when it went 1-1 and they were rapid to get the ball back in play at throw ins and goal kicks. They knew the game was there and almost got themselves the 3 points were it not for some horrendous substitutions from their manager. good to battle to 3 points but should never have got to that point. All well and good saying ‘last year it would have finished 2-1’, getting very bored of this narrative that last year we would have got turned over. -

If he can improve our current club shop/online shop and the stuff that is on offer then that would be a success. Our club shop and offerings have been embarrassing for a number of years and is an unfulfilled source of income. -

Apologies for a Raith Rovers fan popping into your thread, however thought I’d drop this here before I flog on eBay! I am selling off my shirt collection which features the Don’s home kit 92-93 in a M. In pretty good condition, some bobbling here and there as should be expected of the age. Drop me a message if interested! -

I'm in agreement with the comparison. Offers zero defensively and offensively and put in the most sunday league challenge I've ever seen in my life. I'd play Brown at RB and start Spencer (presuming he's fit) as the deep lying midfielder. -

Agree. Real shame cause Lang has been outstanding. He should rightly be aggrieved if he is dropped when bene returns. -

Cruise control first half, utter dug second. We sorely missed Spencer in the middle, needed that calm head to control possession when we had it but instead had snow running about like a headless chicken like he’d won a raffle to play a game. lang and Berra absolute titans again. At this rate, Bene will have some job to displace Lang from this team. Man of the match for me. Wouldn’t mind going to a rovers game and feeling comfortable that we can see a game out. Ayr definitely deserve a point out of that, we got away with one. Big 3 points with a couple of tough away games the next couple of Saturdays. -

Lang was tremendous last night, looks a real class act.. and he’s a right good looking lad as a bonus -
I’ve heard this song a few times this season from the rovers end and it is so cringeworthy

Raith v ICT clash of the titans
Holy Marv replied to RRFC2711's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
I’ll bite.. Devine won the ball in an aerial battle = the ball was literally away to land at poplatniks head until Devine steam rolled in leading with arm and produced a rugby union style body check to ‘gently’ move poplatnik out the way. Macgregor was a clip = macgregor participated in an out of control lunge with no intention of winning the ball, therefore endangering the opponent, to prevent a breakaway. I mean even if you thought macgregor clipped his heels, the fact macgregor was on the deck would surely lead you to the fact is was a sliding tackle, no? -
