  1. Calm down didn’t realise if you didn’t agree with someone that means you’re raging and need to calm down bringing in Dingwall is a poor decision. Anderson would have been a better choice for me. Armstrong was a fine decision, but I think Bowie would have been a better choice.
  2. Disagree. I seen McGlynns changes as very basic management. Because players came on and made a difference in 25 mins of one game should not book them a place in the next team selection. dropping Mclean for Dingwall is an absolute farce given Dingwall has given the team about 20 minutes of decent football, and is an absolute passenger/theft of a wage the rest of the time, and Mclean would have been the only attacker to provide a decent outlet in conditions such as today. Even Bowie for Armstrong is a bit dodgy, Armstrong hasn’t shown much since he came back and Bowie would have been more of a threat getting behind the defence. Players may not have turned up, but mcglynns selection, particularly leaving out Mclean, has to take a good chunk of the blame for the result.
  3. Can’t be saying that when you got outplayed
  4. When pipped at the post by Ayr, that was a failure as we had a great gap to get over the line, and Vaughan missed a sitter at the death to win the league.. Let's not even talk about the playoffs. Last season was a massive disappointment as the only full time team and getting absolutely turned over by Arbroath with a team that looked like they didn't even care and we had the best striker in the division and that we've had for years, and yet came nowhere near challenging for the league. This season, we've went to the hybrid model, have been more realistic in what we can achieve with full time Falkirk and another hybrid team and have a team that play for the club. The club has been transformed from the past two seasons and there aren't many negatives surrounding the current situation with the club. Of course we want promotion this season, but anyone saying they expected it at the beginning of the season is kidding themselves. Even now, it is an optimism that we are top of the league and a hope that we can stay there rather than how we felt the past two seasons in that when we were top we should stay there and should see out the league. The league is far more competitive this season. I personally believed Falkirk would run away with it (and they may still well do) and given our playoff track record, I don't expect us to get up via that way. If we don't win this league, it's incredibly harsh to say it has been a failure, even for an absolute roaster like Frank. It will be disappointing, yes, but the club has been come on leaps and bounds this season and we appear to have steadied the ship.
  5. He said when he joined Hearts he had no issue playing on plastic pitches but was Tommy Wright's decision not to play him because of his age and injuries.
  6. Given the age of Bowie and how well he's done this season, surely we should be looking at easy around £200,000? The only issue we have is that we're in need of money so any purchasing club will have the strong position to walk away if they think it's too much. In terms of Bowie's wage, we surely have enough cash to increase from £100 a week? Added note, I was at Pars hospitality on Friday and Callachan was absolutely terrible... But then again, so was the whole Dundee team.
  7. I think every football fan in the world would scream for a penalty, football fans scream for a penalty when the ball doesn't even hit a players hand. 99% of football fans watching that back would say 'that's never a pen'. He loses the ball, hands aren't in a terrible position, accidentally hits his hand whilst running away from the goal doesn't particularly affect play. If it didn't hit his arm, it was coming down and hitting his leg and either way, livi got the ball back so he didn't affect play in the slightest. There's absolutely no chance that if this had been given against anyones team, they would not say it is incredibly harsh and it's never a pen.. If you say that is a pen then you're lying to yourself. I think the majority of referees would not give it. Had that been in the premier league and went to VAR, I believe there's no way that would be given as a pen.
  8. I'd personally love to see Callachan back in the middle with Spencer with Hendry playing behind the striker or in a free role. Tait has been decent these past couple of games but considering we are in a title challenge, I'd rather have a safe pair of hands in the middle with Callachan's 'workhorse' ability and pushing Hendry forward a bit. The games II've seen Hendry drop deep has slightly nullified his attacking abilities, albeit he has still be one of, if not the best players on the park. Probably one of his biggest critics for many seasons he was here but Callchan's last season he was easily one of our best players (not hard in that season like) and still think losing him made a huge dent in our promotion bid vs Ayr. I think we are in desperate need for a striker who can get a double figure return in the remainder of the season. It's either going to be a gamble on someone in the league below or a loan of a player who has been recalled by their parent club. Either that, or I'll happily sell a kidney or however many internal organs it takes to get Brian Graham back.
  9. Because he had a decent game? Were we watching the same game?
  10. Proves no point you moron.. that’s not even Hendry
  11. Must say, before the game I would have absolutely taken a point so content with the result, although we had a man advantage for a vast majority of the game and disappointed we didn't capitalise on that. Having said that, genuinely didn't think we would even get a goal as our play was so slow and had no ideas how to break down Falkirk. Thought McManus was probably Falkirk's best player by far and always looked dangerous. It was good to see Hendry back even though he cost us a goal. Felt that there was no attempt to play the ball and it was just a stupid kick out and gave the ref a decision to make. Highlights don't show it very clearly so can't really tell the extent.. must say I was surprised to see the red card out but the fact there was no remonstration at all speaks volumes for me. When Hendry lost the ball.. Think it was clear he was trying to get a touch to the ball rather than 'kick' the Falkirk player and no idea where someone has pulled 'McKay elbowed McManus' from.. I can only presume it is from their arse.. Clutching at straws springs to mind. Also, no idea why people are saying that Armstrong should have been booked instead of Gomis when Armstrong got to the ball first and then got boomed by Gomis.. Puzzling. Very pedestrian stuff from us in the first half, far too slow and Gando gave Watson no support whatsoever going forward. For some reason he kept running in the centre to become a second striker which I didn't quite understand. I thought defensively Watson was steady, but going forward he has no pace or final ball. We did control the remainder of the first half after we got the goal, however that was when I felt we should have upped our pace and went at them instead of giving Falkirk the time to get a game plan/fire the players up and make the Gomis change. I said to my mate that they will bring on Gomis at half time (surprised that change didn't come sooner) and I felt nervous about what was to come in the second half and I was right. Falkirk came out the traps and right into our faces and deserved their goal. Couldn't believe how much we sat off them and allowed them to attack as freely as we did. We offered absolutely nothing going forward and actually forgot we were against 10 men. Definitely didn't look or feel like we had a man advantage. Absolute stupidity from Bene.. Should never have dived in for his first booking and why he let the ball bounce in the first place let alone bring the man down is baffling. He should have trusted Munro would get to the ball (even though he was very shaky the whole game). From then I genuinely thought we'd be lucky to get a point from the game. Every set piece we looked absolutely terrible attempting to defend them and thought that's how Falkirk would get their 2nd rather than from open play as they didn't really trouble us in open play. When the 2nd player got sent off, again we looked like we had no ideas at all of how to break them down. Thought Dingwall should have been playing out wide (if at all.. He was terrible) and Gullan behind the striker rather than the other way about. I said that from the start and our goal came from them switching positions. I also felt that McGlynn got the subs wrong. Dingwall was terrible and should have been hooked rather than Gullan as he was one of the only players who looked slightly dangerous. Then bringing on Allan instead of Victoria was a head scratcher. All in all, feel that a draw was probably about the right result, however had it been 11 v11 or 10v10, wouldn't have been surprised by a Falkirk win.
  12. Davo is a moron and the Airdrie one, although harsh, is dangerous. Matthews is never a red card. as for the ‘stonewaller’ I was expecting a de gea-esque save the way Murray and the aidrie fans were going on about it.. not even a pen let alone a stonewaller
  13. If he’s out for a few weeks our title hopes have gone? Are you joking or....?
  14. Think it was the perfect opportunity to try and fit in Mckay to the back three and was surprised he didn't. He seems to have an issue with giving Mckay a shot at centre back for whatever reason and uses him as a utility right back and he just cannot play there. I feel for him a bit cause think he would be a useful player given the chance to play his actual position. I thought we looked defensively frail, and in my opinion that is down to the full backs having more pressure to defend than go forward and the midfield caught between whether to go forward or stay back. I don't think the best plan is to go with what he played on Saturday and would be surprised with any points if he did play that. Anderson will be a huge miss if he is injured for this match but think that Bowie is more than capable of replacing him, I just think he doesn't have the engine to match what Anderson gives us. Looked absolutely blown out after 40 mins. I'd also put Allen back in for Baird. McGurn Davo Ando McKay Miller McDonald Spencer Hendry Armstrong Bowie Allan
  15. moving Miller into midfield was a gamble as he is defensively minded (as McGlynn probably wanted) but miller being so defensively minded meant that he created a back 6 rather than sitting in front of the defence. Bene was doing ok before he came off and tried to get us up the field a few times. It’s very clear to see that we cannot use Mckay as a RB. Caught out of position so many times and I feel for th lad cause he’s a CB and he’s barely ever played there. We’ve been playing well with the change of formation and think it suits us very well. I hope with the shake up in tactics it doesn’t mean we’ll revert back to what we were playing before. The second half was down to Falkirk sitting in an our sheer desire to take something from the game rather than tactics in my opinion Although obviously the change helped as we put more attacking players on. in terms of Gullan, I think he’s better coming off the bench rather than a starter. He changes a game but the games he’s started I don’t think he’s offered much. I’d be tempted to try Armstrong I’m behind the strikers and see how he goes.
  16. How many times do we need to hear this league is shit from the Falkirk fans? queue the ‘well it is’ retort. shite starting lineup, shite mistakes to concede two goals, no fight, Falkirk time wasting after scoring their first goal after two mins. good formation and personnel changes in second half. Great goals, tidser should have been sent off, telfer is a little cretin, McMillan May be able to actually do something in a game if he stopped moaning and trying to buy free kicks, should have won the game in the second half. Gomis is a great player, no wonder he was knackered after 70 minutes having to carry the rest of the team.
