I think you're correct re the standard of the league and also the number of teams. There's no comparison between EOS / WOS and SOS except that they're in the pyramid at the same place. I'd prefer to see some regionalisation of the West leagues from Tier 8 down - to cut down on traveling and give teams some local rivalry. South league would fit well into that kind of thing.

I'd go with the Largs win. Troon won 1st 2 ... Largs without a win. Go and trounce the joint leaders in their backyard. Largs for me

Bankies 4 Glenafton 1 A right decent game - competitive esp in 1st half. Glens started really well and scored early doors with a low effort that beat Hughes all ends up. Thought we might have been in for another repeat of last week - but Bankies knocked the ball about well and equalised through a great Tom Collins strike. Glens down to 10 just before the break when McKee was late and head high on Matt Niven. Nothing malicious but v poorly timed. All Bankies in 2nd half - further strikes from Slattery ( my motm ), Mulcahy and a second Collins strike gave us a much needed and deserved 1st win. Some great fitba by the Bankies - much more like it

Everyone sees things differently. Important for us to get something on the board as Saturday was pretty horrendous despite the closeness of the score as Bens were worthy winners. Sounds like things were much better last night and hopefully we can start to pick things up quickly. 30 games will go in real fast.

got to say well done Benburb. Snuffed us out for most of the game and took their chances when they came - although in fairness they could've had 6. Would've been an injustice if we'd sneaked an equaliser - which we did look like doing in a do or die last 15. Need to defend much better.

I think this has got to be the most unpredictable league in a number of years - We've not had a great pre-season but have made some decent signings. Beith without Fowler must be less potent than last season, Talbot have had a turbulent close season, Darvel even more so but still have more resources than everyone else you'd think, Pollok seem to be in transition but still have the basis or a good team and multiple comings and goings at every club. St Cadocs seem to have ditched their promotion winning team, all the others must fancy their chances of decent seasons at this stage. He wasn't a stand out in the 2 games against us last season ( despite scoring in both ) - but neither game was hugely memorable tbh. I did see him in a Friday game at Pollok when he was great. His goals obviously mark him out and he'll be a big loss to Beith if he's off

Hi ... just checked and yer right - none of them seem to use Palmerston. Remember a few years back doing a bit of analysis of travel times to and from SOS teams and I'm sure there were at least 2 used Palmerston but it's a while ago so could be wrong. Thanks for your reply

Yeah Im just going on what's been said. Apparently there is a clause that they dont come out until sometime in July so i've accepted that
