Some amount of seethe in the replies. Within a minute of it going up too.
With McLennan struggling to get back to fitness and Hedges out there was no real option but to play him.
He'd be slaughtered if he played Logan or McGinn (both clearly past it) and we lost.
During one of his spells my pal wandered past him in the chocolate aisle in the Lang Stracht Tesco.
He was stood in front of the share size dairy milks just staring at them. Closed his eyes, puffed his cheeks then walked away empty handed.
During his first season I was stood in line with my son for the kids Christmas party at Pittodrie. The club held one for the staff in one of the other lounges. He turned up with his with and child but the lassie on the door didn't recognise him and asked him to join the queue. Politely stood in line behind me without causing a fuss until one of the other members of staff came down around ten minutes later and asked him why he was queueing
In that position it would have been so easy for someone to kick up a fuss but he probably didn't want to embarass the lady. I've always had a lot of time for him since then.
Thats a shame. The Woods loan extension makes sense.
Shame he didn't get to finish in front of a crowd.
Edit: obviously a bit too much hoping the wankers wouldn't be out in force on that topic.
Oxford owe us one after we let them pinch Windass for pennies (thanks Alex).
We took a loss selling him and they doubled their money on him less than a year later.
EDIT: I'd like to apologise to everyone for bringing up memories of Alex Miller.
