  1. William Tyler - an incredible guitarist, how was his set?
  2. There ye go - the power of P&B!
  3. There's definitely a media team and there was talk of a "rebuttal unit". If there is they should be far more visible. The media will all be in overdrive for Indyref2 and with all the economic arguments from last time shattered I dread to think what crap they'll come up with. Problem with complaints and response for TV would be the same as print - would take ages for a case to be looked at and then buried somewhere late at night.
  4. I see it took 6 shots and then run over by a truck to kill him. Whatever happened to the single shot to the back of the head? This was my, erm, a favourite in the old days.
  5. For the sake of clarity here, you said in your argument NI would get special status. I asked if you were suggesting only NI would get this and not Scotland with highest remain vote. Never mentioned or suggested a hard border. Cheers.
  6. Leaving aside the huge "if" of any Tory majority, what is your cunning plan for customs and immigration checks at the hard sea border? And are you really suggesting that NI gets special status but the country with the highest remain vote, Scotland, gets dragged out?
  7. And there's the key point - freedom of movement. May, as Home Sec, ramped up the anti-immigration rhetoric. It continues to underpin Brexit. Corbyn has always been anti-EU and Labour are complicit in their pathetic posturing. And as for a Labour strategy, well that's oxymoron of the day.
  8. 5. The dancing onto conference stage. 6. Going to EU discussions and saying the same thing over and over. Probably louder and with more arm waving each time.
  9. Giving bad weather conditions a name still annoys me. And why just a first name? Make it more formal with a surname as well.
  10. The apostrophes are surely all unnecessary. The words that have them are plural, so no need whatsoever.
  11. The SelectSpecs with customer testimonials is one of the worst at the moment. Bad but somehow hilarious especially the guy who says his mates can't believe they only cost six quid and the quality is second to none. Aye, six quid. Gonna be top notch stuff.
  12. Agnes Moorehead, who played Samantha's mum Endora in cult 60s sitcom Bewitched, was an actual witch and jailed for 14 months for running a witches coven at her home in Pismo Beach, California. The jail sentence accounts for her not being in every episode.
  13. A con indeed. On the day May shakes the money tree to provide money to areas of England, one section of The Vow stands out "we agree that the UK exists to ensure opportunity and security for all by sharing our resources equitably across all four nations..." How much to Scotland? And remember the Vow was written by Cameron, Clegg and Brown and their aides.
  14. Doesn't seem much point in becoming independent and stepping away from a union to have, well, a currency union with a union we're leaving.
  15. The net fishermen of Lake Chapala Mexico, have trained Chihuahua dogs to swim down to free nets snagged on the rocky lake bed. Although a shallow lake, some dogs have been timed holding their breath underwater for just over two minutes.
  16. To use Sterling would be a sign of being feart. I'd argue for a new currency for a new country. There sure as hell is a load of material to use to make them think twice about staying with what is pretty much the failed state of UK.
  17. Surely an independent Scotland would use its own currency. Why use anything else? Set out as we mean to go on and with the belief Scotland and its own currency can stand proud on the world stage. Given the pathetic state of the UK government and the total mishandling of Brexit is there any way a second referendum will be anything less than an an overwhelming Yes?
  18. Station to Station is a stunning album as is Heroes. Cover version of Heroes by Nicole Atkins (with Postmodern Jukebox) is just brilliant.
  19. Would that be a donation to their chamber pots?
  20. Agree that the real joy is in playing and listening. I'm currently looking for excellent copies of LPs to replace less than perfect copies of mine. Really only got rid of LPs in fine nick I no longer played. So far no regrets! I recognise the "should have bought". Missed out on a few because of waiting. Last week I bought Next by SAHB and Caravans Plump in the Night. Great. Good luck with coffee shop - brilliant idea.
  21. If the Tweet involved the lecturer's dark secret life and that their subject is rubbish I might check out other modules, just to be safe.
  22. I've sold a fair few rare albums on Ebay with no problems at all. Condition is key. Be honest when grading as collectors can be a bit miffed if a cover is graded Excellent but has a split seam or marks. Same with the vinyl itself. Spend a few quid on Vinyl cleaner - sprays on and wipe with a soft cloth. I always state that the LP will be posted in a cruciform box with a couple of inserts (buy them in bulk on Ebay). Take LP and sleeve out of cover, place behind cover and inserts for extra support. Tape round edges. Maybe offer PO Signed for service. Check out Vinyl Tap. They have a section on how they grade vinyl. It's also a first class place to buy rare (and not so rare) LPs. They have a daily arrivals page. Great to look at even if not buying. Can also pop in your LPs to Search facility and get an idea of prices.
