  1. First Saturday off for the Loons in a long while. Hope they're using the Saturday for some decent training sessions. Will it make a difference? Of course not!
  2. Even that less than 1% for Forfar to reach the playoffs seems excessive!
  3. Although Allan got the assist for us, I think he's better centrally rather than LW. Think I might go and rewatch the Dundee United game again
  4. I have it on good authority that Rab Douglas is at the game tonight. Assume it's a scouting mission. But for which players? McCallum perhaps?
  5. The Loons played well in the cup. Will that continue into Tuesday's match? I haven't a clue.
  6. The shift everybody put in last night was impressive. I'm not faulting the efforts of the team throughout the whole season, I genuinely think the squad have tried hard under Malky, but as has been said, the team had a gameplan and knew how to set up rather than sit back, getting deeper and deeper and never moving forward. I was very pleased with Scott Shepherd (think that's the first time I've said that this season) he was almost a Right Wingback. Attacking down the flank but in defence would slip into RB with Nditi moving centrally to create a back 5. But as soon as the threat was over he was getting up the park to try and join the attack. Do you think Docherty would be interested in being the main man instead of McInnes number 2? If so, would he join Forfar or look for a bigger team?
  7. At least Allan is getting to start. Hopefully he isn't pulled after 50 minutes for Fenwick.
  8. I would normally be buzzing for a game like this, but sadly after the season we've had I don't have the same excitement. Hope it gives the Loons plenty of cash to invest in a quality squad for our League Two campaign under a quality manager.
  9. Exactly, he's our top goalscorer but I guess that's what happens when you have a manager out of his depth. Why play a striker who scores goals when you can have 2 defensive strikers that would get a nosebleed if they tried to run into the box.
  10. I hope that is the plan. Jordan to play in the cup match. We all know we're guaranteed 10th so let's make a show of the cup match. Maybe actually give him 90 minutes against Dundee United.
  11. We need to improve in all areas but our set pieces were terrible today. Both EF goals came from set pieces and when it comes to attacking from set pieces we never appear threatening.
  12. Our central midfield are so exposed. I'm a big fan of Murray Mackintosh but him and Moore aren't what we need at the moment. Mark Hill would be perfect, but sadly he's just a washed up pile of butter and nothing like he was 3 years ago. Who's under contract for us after the summer, and therefore will be in our squad for League Two?
  13. Very interested to see what sort of team Gaz puts out. With Nditi an injury doubt it may be a back four of Meechs (RB) Munro & Thomson (CB) with probably BJ (LB) since we don’t have any alternatives. Hopefully he'll start Allan up top.
  14. Rumours going around that Jordan Allan was going to walk out of the club because he never got a game. Hope he gets a start tomorrow and whoever takes over might persuade him to stay? He's the best striker we've got.
  15. We all know that the Forfar job came too soon for Stuart Malcolm, and he was definitely out of his depth. The fact that Barry & Martyn have also left makes me wonder who will take over? Maybe Gary Irvine or Steven Anderson will take charge until the end of the season and then the board will choose someone else to prepare over the summer ready for our League Two campaign. The fact the board are all completely surprised means they have no contingency plans as they were probably going to let Stuart have another season to see if we could win promotion from League Two at the first time of asking. Finally, Malcs, Baz & Foxy are still fan favourites as @bernardblack said we remember their playing days fondly.
  16. Goodbye League One. InfantileRequiredEidolonhelvum-mobile.mp4
  17. Haven't a clue, he's not even been mentioned in any vacant jobs, maybe he's given up the management life?
  18. Jordan Allan up front! No chance. He is the best striker at the club but Malcolm refuses to play him (and then wonders why we struggle to score), I'm pretty sure it'll be Fenwick & Jimmy Scott starting on Thursday, with probably Doris coming on for Fenwick in the middle of the 2nd half.
  19. It should be a great game on the TV. Plenty of goals, we could easily lose 5 or 6 nil. (Notice my sarcasm) As for the chairman. Ross Graham was quite a public face but the new chairman seems to be the opposite - I can't actually even remember his name! - whatever the case he seems very content with Stuart and happy for us to lose week in week out.
  20. Interesting tie for us, a nice local(ish) derby. Shame it'll probably be overlooked for a TV game as they'll pick the Auld Firm and Stranraer v Hibs.
  21. Really hoping Forfar have actually turned a corner and are starting to play, Tuesday night was good, as was the Scottish Cup - even if it took us until penalties.
