I agree with you that Holt should be gone, in fact I would have probably punted him, if not before then at the same time as Sheerin. I’m pinning my hopes on the board are presently looking at avenues to get shot of him but it’s maybe proving a bit more difficult than getting rid of Sheerin or it’s maybe going to be expensive. The board member I had the meeting with that you are aware of went to lengths to assure me that Holt had very little to do with Sheerins signings apart from the four on pre- contracts before Sheerin came in. He said Sheerin identified the players he wanted and Holt done the contract negotiations. I don’t however think this is true as Holt told us at the q&a that he had identified 14 strikers he wanted to sign who he failed to get so that suggests he has been involved in players coming in. I think we have to give the new board time to change things and so far there has been better communication in the short time they have been in. Hopefully very soon we will all be onboard with what they are trying to do and the club can start to move in the right direction and fingers crossed it doesn’t involve Holt.

I tried to get this view over to the couple of Falkirk fans at my work who aren’t parting with their cash until Holt is gone and they were having none of it. I think if the board feel that for whatever reason they can’t get rid of Holt then they need to make sure he has zero to do with the first team, January signings are players Rennie wants and he never ever attends any future meetings with the fans. He is definitely a character the majority of our support have no time for.

I would like to see a more experienced keeper brought in. Feel both Martin and Much are similar and an older keeper working with either of them would be a better option.

Could be a lot of pish re Hetherington but Rennie has maybe been watching some games on FFC TV and could have some knowledge of the players.

So much to look forward to in 2022 so far, Bunnymen in March, My Chemical Romance in May, James in June, Cure in December. Just hope Covid doesn’t f**k things up.

These hints that the better players were Holts signings, when are we actually going to get to see these “better signings”, have they been out injured since the start of the season. The recruitment since Holt came in has been shite, whether Sheerin had anything to do with it or not our squad is no better than this time last year.

I agree totally with this. I’ve signed up to the FSS but was speaking to two Bairns fans at work today who said they are waiting on Holt being punted before they commit. Until he is gone there are still a large number of fans not buying into what’s going on at the club.

I’m happy with his appointment as well but realistically what can he do in 6 months. I hope there is some sort of agreement there that if things work out well it will be a longer contract. I also hope that part of the negotiations to get him here has been an agreement that he will have control over players being signed and Holt will have nothing more to do with this.

You are probably right, I’m just hoping Rennie has some contacts or Miller if he comes as assistant that could unearth some unknown gems. If not I honestly fear we will be in a relegation fight. Holts recruitment has left us truly humped.

That is very true, remember the change in Sammy when Stainrod came in. I suppose we do have a few who could maybe shine if they have a few quality additions in beside them. There are some however that I suspect wouldn’t look good even if they had Ronaldo and Messi in there beside them.

Four points off the relegation play off places is a worry. Wouldn’t fancy this mob to have the fight to get out of a situation like that. Just hope Rennie can work miracles in January as there is no way he is polishing this turd of a squad.

It’s a sad reflection on where we are that there is not one player in our squad that I would be really upset to see leave and I include Morrison in this. We have assembled an absolute gang there.

I’ve signed up to the FSS but if Holt gets anywhere near my money to spend on players in January I’ll be well pissed off. This shower makes Hartleys Brentford experiment look good. Holt should never get anywhere near signing players for us again as he has well and truly made a Harry Hunt of it.

I only watched the first 60 mins of that on Falkirk TV before going out but I have to say we are absolutely shite. We have to be patient with Rennie as if he can’t wheel and deal in the January window he has been left with a terrible squad of players. He would be working a miracle to keep this mob in League One. Holt should be chased out of the place and told never to darken our doors again. How they could sit at that q&a and claim recruitment has improved is beyond belief. We are rank fucking rotten.

I’m actually watching this wondering how many of them I would keep. I know we can’t keep going with the wholesale squad changes constantly but in terms of what we have now our squad is terrible. We have zero cutting edge up front and for me Morrison, Nesbitt and Telfer are exactly the same type of players. Cove just look bigger, fitter and stronger in every area of the park.

We have a shite squad of players, our defence is utter mince. Will be difficult but we need more than a few comings and goings in January and hopefully Holt will have f**k all to do with it.

I don’t think the tide will really turn until Martin Rennie gets a chance to bring a few in and punt more than a few out. He’s inherited a shite squad of players and has a hell of a job on his hands.

Quite happy with this, don’t know much about Martin but when you looked at the list of potential managers this is definitely a risk worth taking.

Watched one minute of Grainger interview and switched it off, he looked like he was ready to burst into tears. We will get pumped by Cove if his tone is anything to go by, totally uninspiring and no way will the players be motivated. He should have left at the same time as his pal and just let the likes of Dixon take the team for Saturday.

That’s so true, the next manager would obtain a huge amount of kudos from the fans by getting us out of the third tier of Scottish football. We have hunted other managers who failed with far harder tasks.

This is how I feel. I’m not sure who I want but he doesn’t inspire me. Then again not inspired by any of the names being linked to us, I suppose that’s just the market we are dealing in now and can’t really expect anything else.
