    Can’t remember being at an abandoned game but I mind a bomb scare at a home game at Brockville against I think Kilmarnock. I’m sure they had to empty the stand of fans onto the pitch whilst a search was carried out. If I mind correctly the game eventually restarted and we got beat.

    I think most fans are happy, bit of a risky appointment by the board as he is an unknown quantity in terms of managing in Scotland, for me he is a risk definitely worth taking. When you look at the bookies list of potential candidates it was a worry some of the usual suspects being quoted and for once we have one of our own at the helm so he knows how much the club means to us fans and how recent results have affected us.

    Good video on YouTube from 9 years ago of Martin Rennie when he was head coach of Vancouver Whitecaps. He seems really knowledgeable with regards to tactics/formations and how he adapts them and how players have to work to fit into how he wants them to play. Quotes that playing nice football is good but winning is the bottom line. Worth a wee watch.

    Don’t see why fans of other clubs think this is a heads gone moment for us. To be honest it wouldn’t be a bad thing if we didn’t play another game until the window opens to give Rennie a chance to get real football players in and to ship out the dross.

    It definitely is, hoping Rennie and Miller can use their contacts to address this issue come January. On todays game, can’t think how we are lining up, possibly a back 3. Anyhoo I’ve subscribed to EFTV and will be interested to see if this rabble can play any better under a new gaffer. Surely to f**k we can’t be any worse.

    I don’t think we will see massive movement in January, I think they may focus on the spine of the side in the hope that 3 or 4 additions there can maybe improve the dross round about them.

    Remember Falkirk FC is not just about the first team, we also have a ladies team and we have kids teams. We also have to think about how signing a player like Goodwillie could impact on sponsorship and as has been mentioned by previous posters the fact that decent fans would not accept it and may withdraw ST money etc. He is a definite no for me.

    You’ll get no argument from me with regards to Holt, as previously stated I’d have got shot of him early doors. I withheld my ST money, which I’ve now renewed and I’ve joined the FSS but if fans don’t want to until Holt or anyone else is gone then that’s entirely up to the individual.
