  1. Christ, everyone has a passion for the splits - wouldn't make the blindest of difference with the OF, can't see anyone getting close for a few years - and TV deals are all about them. My biggest hope is to make lower divisions competitive, and to make the jump from the HL and LL easier - both champions straight up. Clubs 41 & 42 stop moaning, you're down there for a reason. OR you increase the bottom division ?

  2. Difficult one to get right, majority of clubs can't attract 5,000+, sponsors are thin on the ground and probably want to get a good return (and be seen on a big stage), youngsters have too many choices - a low % maybe future fans, even less make it in the pro game. Hopefully clubs do better in Europe, the National side progress further, I want all the home nations to be strong tbh.

  3. Can only imagine that the B teams could be interested,if only to bring the bottom division up to 16 eventually - that would give clubs below a chance to progress, only if their grounds meet the criteria, meaning less ground shares hopefully. Think unless the spfl clubs can finally sort this reserve problem, then they'll probably get into both the EOS and Lowland.

  4. As with most football pyramids, all new ambitious clubs must be able to see a pathway upwards,to keep progressing. Think possibly one years grace to update grounds, and before long a definite two up - across the board. Being more difficult in Scotland is the travelling and whether players want to do that. Interesting to see how many new clubs apply.Exciting times eh.

  5. Hoping to do the other FA Youth Cup semi, Forest v Chelsea on April 4th ( seeing a game in every round) but then it's hoping the final Manchester United v ..... is played before my hopeful return to Scotland on April 29th for a week. Previous rounds I went from Glasgow for Blackpool v Newcastle, determined eh ! Some great random photos so far, keep up the excellent work.

  6. Broomhill take another (modern) twist, just like the ridiculous FC Hashtag down south - or the online community owning a club etc, when will it end - the Twitter mob making half time changes ?  Can't see the VOL surviving relegation tbh, maybe just the time to find their level, where they can compete better. Good luck anyway, they've done really well just to keep going.

  7. Last night saw me at Stamford Bridge for F.A Youth Cup quarter final v Blackpool. Mad rush from Bristol for 6pm k.o ! Trying to catch a game in every round Inc the final, just a fetish I have ⚽ Chelsea 3-2 att 1097 Inc prob 100+ away. Excellent game with talent on show,01/11/21/22/32. The Seasiders gave it a real go,missing a couple of chances late on to level at 3-3,  bit surprised at the small crowd tbh. Only £5 so can't grumble.

Regardless of the rights and wrongs of this did you honestly expect them all to be playing in their first teams?

No, didn't expect any of them to make the first team tbh - wasn't that the idea of playing against men's teams ? Can't ever see B teams getting into the spfl anyway, too much of a change for the 42.

  9. Found it hard getting to any wosfl games this week, 100%  reliant on public transport and don't want to be stuck if a game is suddenly p-p when I'm on my way ! Thanks to the amateurs for some games, finished at Nethercraigs today for Ashfield 3-1 and Dormey 3-2 - good games in the rain (again) Maybe back in May hopefully.

  10. Thought both sides struggled to keep possession in a patchy first half, the two well taken goals brought things to life at last. The needless penalty gave Montrose hope, but they couldn't take the 3 or 4 decent  chances they created. Airdrie grew in confidence and deserved the win, just keep the ball better and try getting more numbers forward. Enjoyable day/week comes to an end.

  11. Thought Falkirk had spells in the first half v Alloa, then totally dominated the 2nd. Some excellent stuff, decent movement and always a threat in front of goal. Obviously bringing on Griffith's a real boost,IF the supply up to him is good - never thought the result in doubt after the first goal. Poor Alloa showing tbh, wasting the few chances they created. Brilliant away support, must have been around 1,000 of the 1500 crowd ?
