That's good, played all my life in black & white stripes so I understand ! Is that the ground close to the motorway ? Will try to visit next season if I can.

Maybe if there is a way of testing, and everyone can afford it, then it could be a start. Players turning up already changed, no showers ? ,getting to games could be a problem due to car sharing but I'm sure there's a way - be surprised if amateur football started by Sept/Oct . If the virus is airborne then will it ever be 100% safe ?

Expect all the grounds to be excellent by the time next season starts, huge thanks again to all the volunteers lending a hand. Let's hope they don't change their colours after all that painting eh

At the moment the gap between Amateurs and Seniors is too wide to bridge without using a former Junior ground. Drumchapel, St Cadoc’s and Edinburgh South are all ground-sharing. The answer may be in forming a new West of Scotland Amateur League and East of Scotland Amateur League which caters for the best of the Amateurs and those with ambition. Say 10 or 12 clubs in each league.
Maybe those new leagues would be an idea, with ground criteria set for say 2-3 years, given those teams have ambition of course. Guess grounds from east/West region to Lowland to spfl all need work as they go along. Just trying to find a way of keeping the junior name going somehow. Suppose that's where ground sharing solves issues up to a point - is there a time limit on ground sharing in Scotland ?

Junior football with the clubs, cup, history is brilliant. Maybe people would have been happier if,say, just the top 2 every season went up a level to the seniors - would it be possible for those amateur leagues below to become the new juniors Inthe future ? I don't know. Be nice if clubs and fans shared the same ambitions but I guess they never will.

No idea of the answer, but I'm guessing loads of youth players up to 16, are there gonna be enough for all the 19/20/21 teams in short term / or will some players be playing for two age groups - if that's allowed ? Seen quite a few 3g pitches around Scotland so hopefully that's not a problem.

Don't the 21's play on a Saturday afternoon as well ? Fair play to clubs joining the 20's next season, hope they all have enough players and can manage financially, cost of pitches etc. A welcome step forward and progress.

If some West region clubs retained sjfa membership, would they have amateur clubs associated to them ? Otherwise as they are going senior, why would they wish to retain membership to the sjfa ? Is it just the Junior Cup entry ?

Wild but could Hearts take their football and say we aren't playing in this league anymore, and resurface Inthe Lowland Lge - whilst Kelty somehow take their place, Hearts remain in the Prem after all ! Sure that would please someone ! Who'd have thought it, another AFC Wimbledon/MK situation !

Heard somewhere that Hearts fans may boycott away games with their massive following,is that true ? Sure all the other clubs could do the same at Tynecastle, thus depriving them of £££ Sounds like a childish summer ahead. Out of interest, when Rovers went down to non league we had the best away following clubs had ever seen, no tears, just get back up !

Simples the chairmen of every (junior) club meets the SFA at Hampden and plays each other at bar football , winner takes all ha ha Be glad when the new season starts, Scottish Cup under way, all the bickering stops and we all wait for a new scandal to emerge. Lges, blazers, committee's, club spokesmen etc can't trust any of em sadly. Always a hidden agenda.

Would be good to see youth clubs feed onto a senior club to form a pathway through to adult football, well done to both clubs, another positive move to silence the doom mongers ! Across the UK the youth set up is brilliantly organised.

Am sure the Sth C.Cup will grow from the next campaign, and because the covid19 has hit most clubs financially - I hope that for all lge and cup games the fans turn out in bigger numbers to help clubs get through. Would expect the cup travel costs etc to remain in place despite the growth, are any league's helping out with the lge fees ? A few down south are waiving them for next season, very helpful.

Will the 20's games be played on the Friday as the Lowland Lge does ? and I'm guessing they'll be chasing the grounds that currently have lights - the 3g pitches etc. All encouraging stuff though, another positive step forward.

Christ, this bloke's bitter and twisted against everyone 'non junior' it seems. I'm sure that because he has enough time to be on P&B then before long, he'll be on a committee somewhere, helping to heal the wounds. My apologies for being positive re the pyramid

Meanwhile that's ex junior Bo'ness confirmed as promoted subject to getting licence rubberstamped.
Is that for definite ? Good luck to them if they've worked hard and got everything in place. Went there v Luncarty in Feb, have they had to do anything to the ground at all ? Was another cracking old Scottish ground for me to see !

So an english based groundhopper from where bristol was it?
Telling scottish football fans it's finished and mentioning a better level.
Clueless tosh.
Idiots guide thread right enough .
Very encouraging , glad that you have all the answers then, be watching you with interest. The Juniors become seniors, the better junior clubs will eventually rise to the L.L and maybe beyond , the poorer spfl clubs will drop down . Unless you know different of course.

Are these under 20's the second team below the first teams ? or does the West have a reserve set up ? Be really good to have so many young sides coming through, making the league's stronger and good for the future.

The Sth Challenge Cup looks like being the new (junior) cup going by the team's involved, the clubs have moved now to a better level - so despite various opinions, the Junior Cup has finished. Great history and great clubs. Onwards and upwards, hopefully staying positive with all clubs surviving.

Yeah, where you are now is your rightful place, maybe you can buy some success short term. Oh for mid table mediocrity eh. Hope the WOS Conference winners are to go up, rewarding success. If clubs get licensing done, then let's say 3 go down , that's hard luck on those teams but hopefully the cosy leagues are a thing of the past. Don't be afraid to go down and rebuild within your means.

Great track record, obviously has the players on his side. Be interesting to see how far he can go with possibly better finances to back him up. Always difficult if he went, say,to a spfl club to see how he managed - less patience the higher up the leagues you go.

Unless the number of deaths drop right down, new cases similarly, ok to distance being a fan - can the players be tested ? and do they feel safe to play ? I would guess Sept/Oct at least, hopeful as ever. As to the other story, think a 4hr trip is a bit too far to be honest. The HL will always be difficult, can't help geography playing a part.

Suppose if you had N,S,E,W leagues all feeding into the spfl with the 4 champions going up, then maybe another league could be created somehow. But the spfl doesn't want to see 3 or 4 disappearing into non league, and they'd never vote for it - suggest things are ok for now with the HL/LL play off situation. England has a strong pyramid but that gets twisted over geography at times.

Think the way things are going, maybe all leagues will come down to 16 teams, getting in 30 games Inc cup is getting harder with postponements these days. Will always be a case of clubs self interest taking priority over the bigger picture, hoping that in say 5 years time, things have settled down and a decent, workable pyramid is in place. Won't be betting on that though.

Volunteers work to raise money for clubs, fans pay to watch their teams - that money goes somewhere, sponsors help clubs out just to keep going etc. IF you get a sugar daddy its lucky and I hope they stick around. Guessing most fans and clubs would be a bit different if they had a cash injection suddenly, as usual do your talking on the pitch ! Money talks eh
