Think it was Channel 4 or 5. One of these I love 1984 type programmes. I must say, I found Mr Suggs rather wooden. I think it would have been much better if he had been allowed to get drunk and make it up as he went along. His script was straight out of the Steve Wright in the afternoon archives. Still, the music was good. In terms of chart/pop music, can anyone come up with a better 4 year period than 81-84?

It probably is coincidental, but certainly in the 20 years that I lived in Edinburgh, I knew far more Hibs fans than Hearts fans. Maybe all the Hearts fans were out in the sticks.

Out of absolutely nothing, that was a fantastic rammy at the Panama corner just before half time. Some top trolling from Canadian sub. A deserved victory for Canada. Almost half way through the qualifying campaign and they are well placed for a top 3 finish.

I've been watching Slovenia v Russia and the first half has been excellent. 2-1 Russia with 3 really good goals. The Slovenian goal to get them back in the game was especially well worked. It's a must win for Slovenia so looking forward to the second half.

Two points dropped for Canada, 0-0 away to Jamaica. USA losing 1-0 in Panama makes Canada's result even worse imo. Chaotic scenes near the end of the Panama game with a few pitch invasions and various balls being kicked on to the pitch by what looked like Panama subbies.
