  1. I quite liked series 1 and 2 but have to admit that series 3 was a series too far. I wouldnt say the first couple of series were great but there were some pretty good moments (my favourite being the postie asking if he can come in to use the bathroom....Gervais wonders whats keeping him so long goes up stairs to see the postie having a bath) The third series is increasingly lacking funny moments and overtly relies on Gervais saying the C word - I have seen him live and he uses it far more than any comedian I know.....and each reference is a derogatory one....whereas in Scotland the C word is often used as an affectionate term - he is a good c**t. Nah he his trying too hard and this entire series is just a bit too depressing....several other characters are able to move on but he has not.
  2. A bit of perspective here.....Liz Truss flew to Australia last week on a private plane at an estimated cost of £500k.....and arrived 5 hours later than a scheduled flight would have taken. How on earth do you expect Bojo to get to Anglesey when his private plane (re-painted at a cost of £900k) has only just touched down in London and probably needed all the gold taps cleaned. Given all the party-gate nonsense and recent sleaze (sorry corruption) scandals you would imagine high profile politicians would go out of their way not to court controversy and try and play by the book....nah Tories are just not wired up that way
  3. Aye, his diary would be very detailed with exact timings of comings and goings, who he met etc....a bit like the one the security forces and Met would keep for 10 Downing Street.....oh hud on........
  4. Saw you on tv last night though at Tynecastle.......ugly bloke Union Flag hoodie?
  5. I very much suspect not.....someone looking for attention. What got my atttention was that she drove 18 miles to Paignton....then later on states "had to burn 5 gallons of petrol".....she needs to focus on getting a more economical car than writing make-believe facebook posts.
  6. That's not going on right now it's from 2019. I agree with Lester, she is not "grinning like a Cheshire cat" She always looks like that and yes it is down to the prominence of her teeth.
  7. Oh dear sorry to hear that.......I had to use a trolley for a season when I was still recovering from an ankle operation - I absolutely hated it....back to carrying clubs as soon as I could. I still have the trollley and will only use when it is absolutely pishing doon....carrying clubs isnt much fun in the wet (back gets soaked) I am 57 and certainly no plans to stop carrying - its a far better work out too.
  8. arent you online now? I have recorded all my LFT results - some on my phone but majority on my computer whilst working - its really easy
  9. Kemnay - he is on the community council
  10. What an utter nasty piece of work he is - if DNA had ben around earlier I am sure some of those murders may have been avoided. Something completely unexepected that I learnt from that Wikipedia entry was that the Quantock hills actually exist - Banks's naked, decomposed body was found in a stream by a woman, collecting moss, six months after her disappearance, on Easter Sunday (3 April 1988) in the Quantock hills, at a site named "Dead Woman's Ditch", part of an Iron Age camp at Dowsborough.[10][15][21] I always assumed that the "Quantocks" was a made up name in an episode of Peep Show.....vaguely remember reference to dead womans ditch too when Jeremy and Mark go missing - Quantocking | Peep Show Wiki | Fandom
  11. Same here.....recall she was meeting a Mr Kipper. Unbelievably I found out a couple of years ago that her brother is living here in rural Aberdeenshire.....in the same village as me.
  12. That's going to be some laugh if you break your phone. I think it less likely that you would lose a phone than bank cards or cash.....cant say I have ever broken a phone so not sure how common that issue would be. I think it was the Israel game at Hampden when I realised I had travelled down to Glasgow with only my phone - train ticket - on phone, fitba ticket - on phone and access to cash - on phone.......if only I could work out how to make phone calls.
  13. Get your bank card on your phone.....I only did this around a year ago and now carry neither cash nor cards.....so much easier
  14. or come back to the World (European) tour....I would far rather watch golf over here than some of the nonsense that takes place in the USA
  15. Another impressive round by Jamieson to continue to lead in Abu Dhabi. He has been in good positions several times over the years and only won once but he seems to be handling the pressure against this top field rather well. Still disappointed with the Sky coverage.......someone tell them that McIllroy is out of contention and that we do not need to see his every shot (Has McGinley been made producer?)
  16. I heard that too. Not really liking this change from European Tour to World Tour - been watching sky and there are only three players McIlroy, Hatton and Westwood...I prefered the European Tour where you had around 156 competing
  17. Nope....can't provide any detail at all. Connoisseurs will possibly describe a beer as having a piney, citrusy or freshly mown grass flavour or after-taste. Completely un-scientific but I would describe tennents as having the after-taste of round-up with tones of toilet-duck (its un-scientific because believe it or not I have never drank round-up....nor toilet-duck come to think of it)
  18. Imagine the lovely waft you would experience if you walked past a proper brewery and not one that produces chemical cooking lager
  19. I couldn't believe there was a thread dedicated to what I would consider a cooking lager.
  20. well don't go out of your way to point out that it wasn't relevant pointing it out. Just pointing that out !!
  21. Oh he bought them did he......I had simply assumed that they each belonged to his string of girlfriends......a little keep-safe...trophy....
  22. Well tonight I bit the bullet and took and FTP test. Wow that was tough....actually some of the warm up on the Zwift 45 min test - 20 mins full on - was quite tough and I really didnt have enough in the tank for the twenty mins. I averaged 265w so my FTP is now 252W. A little diapponted with that as I know I would have been a fair bit better than that a 4 or 5 years ago (but I was really fit then and training up to 15 hours per week - not all on the bike) 57 now and have put on a lot of weight and let myself go a bit last couple of years. However, it was still a great session and gives me a target for another FTP say end of Feb - maybe aim to get and average of 275w and around 260w FTP.
  23. I would say BP have stronger relationships elsewhere and they have been engaging with the Scottish supply chain to a great degree recently. Just had a meeting with CES and there will be ScotWind 2 3 etc this is not a one off and if a developer does not adhere to their SCDS then they have little chance of being successful in future licencing rounds.
  24. Has Dross been seen this week.....Holyrood?, Westminster?, running the line?
  25. Good point not actually got round to doing an FTP (probably conciously avoiding it) My fitness has improved and I sustained 250w for a 40 min race the other day so it has definitely increased. I think my main issue was that I possibly was a genuine CatD a few weeks ago and frustrated that I have not stayed with the leaders to the finish in one single race. I will be Cat C from now on again (and might even pluck up the enthusiasm for an FTP)
