  7. A certain Alex Jack Cup final at Netherdale springs to mind I don’t think there was a blade of grass left at the end !!!
  8. Willie using his free bus pass to make the 4 hour round trip to Musselburgh to save £4 .
  9. It’s something they do on all on their Groundhops. It maximises the income generated by the clubs and helps to make it worthwhile given the inconvenience caused to players, club volunteers, supporters etc.
  10. If it’s really a big deal for £3/4 then it’s the clubs who do the gate they can see people right with a concession. Groundhop UK (and others) run them every few weeks using a tried and tested formula. All the clubs involved this weekend will at least be a few grand better off.
  11. All the best to Ian and Jocky. Were involved at the top end of U20 football for 4 seasons when it first started and moved on to build a more than competitive side over the same sort of time at Edinburgh United. A good appointment from the Vale committee. Get a side on the park for the last 8 games to see out the season and get building for next season in the 1st Division.
  12. Lad who scored the opener after 23 seconds, red carded after 3 minutes ! 10 game ban !
  13. What a chance for Sporting. Should have been 1-2.
  14. Spartans 4-0 University of Stirling @ Ainslie Park Stadium. Huge game at the top of the Lowland League. The home blew the students away with 4 1st half goals to stay in pole position. Stirling reduced to 10 men in the 2nd half on a night to forget for them. Crowd 375.
  15. Edinburgh South 0-1 Thornton Hibs @ Paties Road Stadium . East of Scotland Football League, 2nd Division. The visitors win it with a 1st half strike around the half hour mark and a solid defensive showing. Crowd 34.
  16. AFC Bournemouth 1-0 Liverpool @ Vitality Stadium . FA Premier League. The visitors start pretty well but don’t score, concede, then struggle badly to find a way back with Mo Salah even missing a penalty midway through the 2nd half. Bournemouth move off the bottom. Crowd 10,536.
  17. Hibernian 1-4 Rangers @ Easter Road Stadium . cinch SPFL Premiership. The home side took an early lead but were blown away by in form Rangers who led 4–1 after an hour. A brilliant tribute to owner Ron Gordon, who recently passed away, before kick-off. Crowd 19,341.

  19. Bonnyrigg Rose 1-1 Forfar Athletic @ New Dundas Park . cinch SPFL League 2. A pretty scrappy game which came to life late on. Forfar opened the scoring from spot on 72 minutes but substitute Kieran McGachie rescued a vital point for the Rose 3 minutes from time. Crowd 744.
  20. They won 5-0 at Old Trafford last season.
  21. Crystal Palace 0-0 Liverpool @ Selhurst Park . Premier League. 7.45pm kick-off. Palace fail to punish a poor 1st half performance from Liverpool who are better after the break. Mo Salah came closest to a winner hitting the bar. Far from a classic. Crowd 25,298.
