  1. I’d have taken that at half time. A second goal would’ve been lovely but not a terrible result, all things considered. Absolutely idiotic from Lundstram who has not impressed at all so far. We did seem to improve after half time, which we needed to do, but we have to start like that. As others mentioned, seemed like a bit of a farewell from Morelos there but not surprising. He’ll be away after the second leg.
  2. Chanting “There’s only one Joe McElderry” at Celtic Park when they brought out beaten X-Factor finalist Olly Murs at half time during an old firm game. The chant itself wasn’t that funny, but it seemed to get under the skin of Olly Murs a lot so that elevated it a bit as a random funny moment.
  3. Yep, it was announced in April that clubs have the option to offer PPV for all home matches not being broadcast live by Sky.
  4. Will there be PPV available for the away fans locked out? From what I gather from Twitter, that’s what people are most annoyed about - that St Mirren fans have no legal way of watching their team at the weekend.
  5. One of the papers reporting that we've turned down 3 bids for Hagi: €4M from Galatasary and €7M bids from Sevilla and Lazio. It claims we value him at €11M. The fact that Rangers then tweeted a GIF of Hagi celebrating 10 minutes after this report was posted suggests it's a lot of rubbish.
  6. Jesus Christ even if someone actually believes that, don’t make yourself look like a fool and broadcast it after watching him about 4 times or something.
  7. Aye, he seems to get it worse than others for some reason. The media go through cycles like this every so often to be fair so he’s not the first or last to get it.
  8. I’ve not seen a couple of individual performances like this in a long time. Ali McCann
  9. Slight criticism of St Johnstone is they have hit the deck rather easily a few times now.
  10. Possibly. Seemed like he had the whistle in his mouth before that though.
  11. How many short passes have Galatasaray fucked up and let St Johnstone in
  12. How the f**k is slapping the ground a booking.
  13. St Johnstone will be hoping those Galatasaray centre backs play those square passes all night.
  14. St Johnstone have started the better. Galatasaray look a bit rattled. Pitch looks very wet. Players sliding all over the place.
  15. I think my main counter-argument is that Rangers are currently going through a period of poor form, rather than them becoming a poor team (in relative terms) which you seem to suggest. I've no doubt we will improve with further games under our belt and let's not forget that the side we put out against Malmo was missing arguably 3 of our best players in Roofe, Kamara and Jack. Yes, we will now need to sell (my money would be on Kamara and Morelos) but I also believe that this dip in form will be overcome and we've not fallen as much as you imply.
  16. Fair enough. I just think anyone that refers to our title win as the The Covid Cup and asks how many trophies Gerrard has won (which have been two very strong traits of Celtic fans this summer) then on the balance of probabilities, I'm going to say they're at the wind up.
  17. Correct. I'm sceptical that there will be any significant increase in attendances for many teams when you compare pre-covid to post-covid (I know it's not a true post-covid). Like you mention, some fans may not be comfortable attending yet, but I also suspect there may be some regulars that have decided during the extended absence that they can actually live without going to the football every week/fortnight or their circumstances have changed as a direct result of the pandemic meaning they can no longer afford to attend.
  18. I know football changes dramatically in 12 months but Galatasaray were very ordinary when we played them at Ibrox last season and St Johnstone made them look the same last week. That's not to say the expectation is with St Johnstone to win, Galatasaray are a team filled with multi-millions of pounds worth of talent, but I give you guys a real good fighting chance here. As mentioned on the main St Johnstone thread, Boey seemed to be their danger man from the first leg so if Davidson can hatch a plan to nullify him, which he is more than capable of, then that'll go a long way.
  19. Aye, folk using the polarised views of some nugget while ignoring the overwhelming majority of other Rangers fans calling him out doesn't really have the impact they were hoping for.
  20. A daft red card thread wouldn't be complete without the inclusion of Morelos. Our final Europa League Qualifier of the 18/19 season and we were 2-1 up on aggregate against FC Ufa, 1-1 on the night. In the first half Morelos proceeded to get booked for kicking the ball away and then only 2 or 3 minutes later get a second yellow for dissent after some verbals at the ref. To compound this Flanagan then got himself sent off later in the same game. Thankfully we held on.
