  1. It started off with we’re going to pump Rangers and now it’s changed to oh well at least we didn’t get pumped like last season. Quality.
  2. I’m not sure if there is a deal on the cards to sell him or not but he was very emotional today. He was waving his arms to get the fans going at every corner/throw in he took and he was clearly emotional at full time - I stayed back and watched him kneeling on the pitch after the match, looked like he was crying and saying a wee farewell. That to me makes me think he is on his way somewhere.
  3. I’ve no issue with you being optimistic and there has clearly been a massive improvement in Celtic since last season so there is probably reason to be optimistic given some of the football you’ve been playing. My comments are more aimed at the cocky predictions from Celtic fans where Kyogo was going to rip us to shreds and hand us a new one etc etc. The fact is a lot of your support were overconfident and believed you’d stroll it today. I’m just here with a friendly reminder that you never and big Fil sent you on your way.
  4. It was also good to see the best ever Swede to ply his trade in Scotland score the winner.
  5. The Celtic cockiness before the match has evaporated big time. They might be much improved but they still have a long way to go when it comes to matches against us. I actually thought it was a 50/50 match for much of it, but the second half we really stepped up and took the initiative. Not that they were without their chances though - Edouard shat the bed and McCrorie made a great save vs Furuhashi but I think we deserved it all in. We’ve seen this play before, where Rangers allow Celtic the ball in areas where it won’t hurt us and it played that way today for the most part. We won that game in the dugout which has been the theme for a while now. The bragging rights go to the blue side of Glasgow and Celtic will be raging over the international break. I will say though, that they are much improved and we have a genuine challenge on our hands. Better luck next time though, chumps.
  6. It would be lovely but I just can’t see it. I think we’re going to struggle.
  7. Decent draw. I’m hopeful we will find our form again before the matches come around. Lyon will be a great test to see where we are at. I fear there will be ugly scenes in Prague though if away fans are allowed given the events of last season.
  8. Bare bones on the bench but a strong starting 11 which should see us through. If we go out it will be akin to the Progres fiasco.
  9. I think fans shouting someone is useless is generally okay as it’s normally as a result of a poor bit of play but on the flip side, they sing their praises if they play well. I think the boundary starts to get crossed when it becomes personal about something other than their footballing ability.
  10. Title defence* Good guy, Charlie.
  11. Aye, I thought that was a bit of bold move to target Logan if he is trying to endear himself to the Aberdeen fans
  12. I tend to agree with a lot of that regarding distasteful chants are usually accepted and can be seen as an attempt to wind up players/opposition fans. However… it does start getting quite close to the bone and in some instances I would consider it abusive. Including other people’s family members is verging on the unacceptable in my opinion, but as you say, is nothing in comparison to genuine discrimination. Personally I thought the Morelos’ mother banner was in extremely poor taste, particularly given they used his own language to convey the message. I’m sure Morelos thought so too as he has gone on to often bully Aberdeen since. But it wasn’t on a level with other chants or abuse. The main issue I see with it is that people use football as an excuse to release their anger, and often it does go too far. When people start mocking the dead and stuff like that, while it’s not sectarian or racist it is most definitely unacceptable.
  13. Apologies if I’ve picked you up wrong then, I thought by you saying it was “mental” people weren’t vaccinated at this stage that you were referring to this as being outed rather than the fact Halliday said it.
  14. Which I don’t have a problem with. But to consider them being “outed” as if they are doing something wrong by choosing to not get vaccinated for whatever reason is where I think it is unfair. Maybe saying they can’t think that way was wrong, just that I disagree with it. More appropriate for the coronavirus thread I suppose.
  15. Getting vaccinated is a personal choice. You can't hold an opinion that someone is being "outed" for not being jabbed when it is not compulsory.
  16. The group for Sunday could be different to be fair. I’m hearing Kent hasn't travelled due to a knock rather than covid. Additionally there may be players identified as close contacts that may be able to play on Sunday if they’ve been double jabbed and provide a negative test. This is all wishful thinking obviously!
  17. I don’t really have any opinion on Celtic not wanting to use the Old Firm term. It’s the fact they outright refuse to use the word Rangers in certain scenarios that is completely tinpot. As well as inventing their own time zone (CPT - Celtic Park Time ) so they don’t need to use the term British Summer Time. That’s one of my favourites.
  18. Adam’s moronic and poorly timed comments aside, I’m sure he is actually Dundee fan is he not? Possibly a soft spot for Rangers given his time here but I always thought given he’s from Fintry and tweeted about Dundee prior to joining them he was a fan of them.
  19. We have McCrorie and Firth if the rumours about McGregor and McLaughlin are true so I doubt we will be looking at an emergency loan.
  20. I’d imagine it will be today. The club normally put up pictures of the squad departing but I reckon they might avoid that this time
